Last night I hit a dear. I think I just clipped it, but I spun out and ended up backwards in a ditch off the side of the road. So...that really, really sucked, but I'm fine and incredibly grateful that even my car somehow made it through (because it's in perfectly terrible condition already, so the extent that looking at it it was hard to determine what damage had been caused by the deer or the spinning out; really, it was all such a blur that I'm not sure what should be messed up).

But yeah, anyone else have a situation where you simultaneously felt both incredibly lucky and unlucky?

The deer was so not my concern. I think it laid down in the road for a little while, then wandered off in the woods to die. The police were looking for it, but I doubt they found it, so yeah, it probably was left to die.

A Chevy Cavalier that's about 10 years old. Not the kind of car that should be able to withstand hitting a dear and spinning off the road, but I just clipped it. It's really amazing, because my car was in such bad shape already, and every minor thing that happens to it results in really expensive damage.

Ya.. I was blamed for something horrible that happened to my brother. He got his finger sliced open from a water slide (apparently if you squeeze on to the sides of the slide really hard they'll cut you when you go down..) since I was the next one in line after him he assumed that I pushed him. I understand why he would think someone pushed him.. it was a big slide.. the water pressure was extreme. Could have felt like a big push if it built up hard enough, I guess.

Thankfully I didn't get in trouble, but my entire family believes him.. there's no way to dissuade them. He had to get stitches and shots in that finger.. it's perfectly fine now, but ya.. that was probably the worst thing that has ever happened to me was have my entire family hate me for something that I didn't do.
