@ the racial hierarchy

i don't understand what it's based off of though or who's perspective this is based off? i mean is it supposed to be what men and women in general prefer? i get that you're not saying this is the ranking for how every single person feels, but i don't even feel it reflects generally either.

i don't think it's possible to make a ranking even in a general sense for all males, because from my experience the ranking would usually change up from one race to another. does that make sense? white women might be #1 to white men, but i don't think white women are #1 to every male (even in general)

i duno, i can't figure out a good wording for what i'm saying. so, in the end i'm saying i don't agree with the ranking. personally, i don't think it can be ranked, period. but even if i was going to attempt to do something as silly as rank women by race, it wouldn't reflect that order anyway.

I completely agree with this. I think there is some sort of "racial hierarchy" that exists but it's totally different for each group of people. You can barely mush people together into a single racial group as it is, let alone as an all-encompassing group. Tung's hierarchy might be right, but for who? What kind of people? Surely it's not the same for each group. And if you're saying that's the "general" hierarchy, are we assuming that there are more white people and therefore the whole scale is tipped? It's all quite silly.

It's like saying that generally, everyone on this planet is good at math because Chinese people are good at math, and there are a lot of Chinese people on this planet. All (possibly) true, but relevant? Not really. It's much more useful to look at the different cultural influences - i.e. WHY certain types of people differ in math skills in this example, or for interracial dating, WHY certain types of groups like other types of groups - rather than clump everything into a single generality.

I only know one couple that a black woman and a white man. But technically that man is not white, he's spanish. I've met many where black women are dating asians and hispanics, and where black men date different races of women. I've met many couples that has a black man and a white girl. It's not very common that I've seen a black girl and a white guy together. Although I'm pretty sure it'll rise.

Spanish IS White. Spaniards ARE White. Latinos on the other hand aren't.

black guys are with everyone. Like, I've seen a blakc guy in every kind of relationship, black/white, black/asian, gay/straight, all that.

I don't really know alot of asian girls, but I guess they come like everyone else, tease or slut, whatever. It's weird how you never see a black chick with anyone else but someone black. I'd date any kind of guy. Race doesn't really matter.

Latino. Spanish = from Spain. Latino = from Central/South America (but not Brazil) and the Caribbean (i.e. the rest of the world).

LOL. it's not our fault that Asian parents don't allow black people.. Heck my parents don't want me to date Spanish/Latino guys. They feel better with our own kind.. which is sad, cause they go traditionally. I never asked my parents about white guys, although they might approve because many of my cousins are married to white men and women.

Your parents don't want you to date Latinos, not Spanish. You've never asked them about White guys so you don't know if they'd approve of you dating Spanish guys. Seeing as Spaniards are White. LOL. I'm sorry but it kind of irks me when people confuse Spanish people with Latinos. Spain is in Europe and Europeans are White. xD

if you want to get that literal, sure. her parents are still going to judge by their skin color. if the 'spanish' looks a least bit latino (kinda like how all asians look alike), her parents are going to disapprove.

... Spanish people look White with a very good tan. My boyfriend is Spanish and trust me he's White, except when he goes to Spain for holidays, then he comes back tan. My boyfriend's mom is very White with red hair. LOL. Anyway, I understand that some of them look like Latinos but that's not the case in general. ;)

I never really asked for white people as in American whites. because many of my cousins are married to whites as in not Spaniards. down here in south florida, latinos and spanish are mixed together, cause they are freaking everywhere, so we kinda just call them all one race here. anywho, it's exactly how gojira said it.
