god doesn't exist. I don't believe in the bible.

I don't either.

This.

Prove that God doesn't exist.

You can't.

QUOTE(IWontRapeYou @ Apr 14 2009, 01:40 PM) *
Ok, I am going to cut the bullshit. I think some parts of the Bible makes god look like an ***hole. I would rather burn in hell for refusing to believe that god is an ***hole.

If your father grounded you because you broke one of the rules in your home AFTER he's told what the consequences are for breaking the rules of the home, is your father an ***hole or is he practicing what he preached?

QUOTE
I will never put Gods name and hate together no matter what people pull out out of the Bible or any other Holy Book. If people can learn to love everyone regardless of whatever differences, why the hell would I believe god cant. Unless you will try and tell me that some people can be more loving, generous, and kinder than god. And if that isn't blasphemy then I don't know what is.

You do realize that every single one of us have a challenge right? Even the mentally handicapped are challenged as well as their keepers. And they will be one of the best rewarded. Our challenge is temptations... if you're a devout Jew, Muslim, or Christian and are fully aware of what's sinful, you'd do whatever you can to not sin even when temptation is there... That's why I fully respect Monks for example, as they meditate/pray for nearly 12 hours a day. They devote their existence to God as slaves.

Anyways that's just how it is... God has given us the laws which we must not break or we will be held accountable, and Jesus will be the witness against us all. Do you understand what you're asking of God? If God were to accept homosexuals all of a sudden, God would be become fallible. Because God is all knowing, if God said it, there's a reason behind it much larger than our rationale.

The part that I said about Adulterers destroying the foundation of the communities, do you not see the trend that's going on in this world? Fatherless children? Who will more than likely spread their seed everywhere and continue to follow the bastard trend? If you go to college, take a couple courses in Sociology... then read the Holy Books. You will see exactly why God has created the laws He's created. It is for the sake of our prosperity. wink.gif

Meh... read the Qur'an, I'm not gonna play apologetics with you.

Take the Qur'an Challenge, you'll probably end up on your knees 5 times a day everyday for the rest of your life though cool.gif

If my dad was telling me that instead of accepting a certain group of people I have to hate and damn them, yes.

So gay people, and fatherless children are ruining the foundation of society? Yup, you convincing me that your right has about the same chance of me convincing you that I am right.

I used fatherless children as an example as to how it's ruining the foundation of a prospering community. If you can't agree... then I'm sorry, you'd need a reality check. Watch some Maury or whatever.

As for homosexuality, the very acceptance of it is a poison to the foundation of the community. Prove to me that homosexuality is in fact part of the natural laws. If you use animals, I'll use the population control argument, which is backed up by plenty of studies. If you claim that homosexuality is part of human life, then I'll use the separated island argument which will logically destroy the existence of homosexuality.

Pick your poison, intrigue me, prove me that God is wrong about homosexuality. wink.gif

rapist, murderers, and thieves do not equal gay people. Plenty of fatherless children become successful.

I don't believe God hated gay people, but the people who found religion a great way to make people believe what they want you to think did. All religious documents have been around man too long for me to deny that they didn't tamper with it.

It's not about their success... do they carry on the foundation of the family? Mother and father, married, having children, and being responsible parents? Or are they more than likely (statistically) going to follow the trend of just sleeping with random women and not being responsible for their seed? (If you understand the trend of bastardized children, you can then realize why abortions even exist)

QUOTE

Can you prove that God didn't dislike gay people through the Bible, Qur'an, or Torah?

It couldn't have been the Romans, since the Romans themselves would sleep with each other. Couldn't be any of the Pharaohs since the Egyptians didn't care for homosexuality... who could have possibly tampered with all 3 Holy Books, phased out thousands upon thousands of the original texts, and mass produced thousands upon thousands of the new versions of all 3 Holy books?

That's just impossible... for example, in Islam, if someone were to re-produce a Qur'an just for the sake of translation, and they made 1... just 1 mistake in the translation, they could be held accountable for that in the court of law. In fact depending on the degree of change that was made they could easily face death.

I can agree that the Bible has been tempered with. The Catholic Church has many more books in their Bible than any other Christian sect. You know when the Bible has been tampered with when there's a "King James" version of the Bible... which is all about being a peon and letting your King rule over you. The Romans modified the Bible for political purposes etc..

Actually the Qur'an is not like the Bible. As the Qur'an is arithmetically, scientifically, and linguistically advanced compared to the Bible. That's the Miracle of the Qur'an.

And it's actually not sad, each rule has a specific reason.

Don't eat swine, why? It's dirty meat. How is that possible? www.ensignmessage.com/archives/porkfacts.html

Don't drink alcohol, why? It distorts your mind. How is that possible? That's a given.

Don't commit sodomy, why? Sodomy is the most dangerous to your health.

etc... you can thank God for knowing what's right from wrong. Otherwise you and I would just be another couple of cavemen stickin our penises into beehives and killing others who looked at us while we fornicated with beehives.

Exactly. That's the only natural reason for homosexuality. Population control. And this is backed up by hundreds of studies done with all types of animals in the Animal Kingdom. wink.gif

Of course... I don't eat pork. In fact I'm Hispanic and pork is almost as common as eating rice in the Hispanic community (thus being one of the reasons why Hispanics tend to have high blood pressure and high cholesterol). I used to eat pork before I reverted to Islam. And I even used to drink alcohol as well, even with the family during religious holidays. But that changed as well happy.gif

You shouldn't sleep with a woman on her period. Yes, we believe in that as well.

Jews, Muslims, and Christians believe in this, or at least are taught this. It's part of the whole, "cleanliness is close to holiness."

Leviticus (which also talks about Homosexuality) is ridiculous.

QUOTE
And if a man shall lie with a woman having her sickness, and shall uncover her nakedness; he hath discovered her fountain, and she hath uncovered the fountain of her blood: and both of them shall be cut off from among their people.

QUOTE
And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.

QUOTE
And on the eighth day she shall take unto her two turtles, or two young pigeons, and bring them unto the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of the congregation. And the priest shall offer the one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering; and the priest shall make an atonement for her before the LORD for the issue of her uncleanness.

Do stay away from "your woman" when she in menstruating?

Yes... do you understand those verses? This is about making sexual contact. So it's not literally, "omg stay away from that bloody evil heathen". I do not make sexual contact with my lady when she's on her period.

Yes we also believe that sex should be between a husband and wife. Reason? Because of the possibilities of pregnancy. The man and woman must make the "contract" with marriage, then they'd be allowed to have sex, because at that point if they accidentally get pregnant, they would have to take care of their child regardless. Marital sex is really just about being responsible and knowing the consequences of a pregnancy happening whether it's planned or not.

It is also considered ok if the couple are in love, have sex, accidentally become pregnant, and then get married. But they must get married for the sake of their child.

Marriage is technically a contract between two people who are in love. That's how you show proof of your love for one another. If you're truly in love and genuinely prepared for the consequences of sex, then technically there's nothing wrong with it, just so long as you get married if pregnancy occurs to solidify your love for one another and your future child.

You think that's all? I've quit smoking cigarettes as well. Changed my first name to the Arabic form. Quit fornicating premaritally and got married cool.gif

I've made a lot more sacrifices wink.gif

In what way are religious people weak minded? We're not the ones who face as much stress as non-believers.. it can't be education... hell I've majored in Computer Science and minored in Optical physics lol... It can't be the fear of death... we adore death (not violent deaths of course) as it is the stepping stone to our ultimate fate. So what could it be?

That's like saying... once a child hits 15 years old he/she no longer needs their family to remind them that they belong to their family blink.gif

The reason why organize religion exist is to help each other. Like family would. It is a community of like-minded people. It has nothing to do with weakness of any sort, at least not that I'm aware of, unless you'd like to point them out.

I didn't perfect that mistake.... but maybe next time I'll turn the other cheek when I'm disrespected.

Can you find a post of mine in this forum where I shove my religion onto others? To be quite honest, I don't really care to "shove" my faith in some person's face. I don't mind answering questions, though.

^ I really don't like that this has turned into a debate, but in all fairness, you do post a lot about your religion, to the point where it may seem that you trying to recruit people. Even though I'm pretty sure that isn't your intention, that's the impression people get. I totally get that your religion is an important part of your life, so it comes up a lot in discussion (just like other people talk about their culture), and I do respect that you stick to your beliefs no matter how many people jump on the wagon and say that you are wrong.

I don't mind if people want to go back and forth, but it shouldn't really come to the point where people are saying others are foolish for what they believe. Challenge the religion, don't insult a single follower, imo.

That's just my opinion on the topic overall, this isn't a "moderator" post.
