I think it would more obviously be a paint bucket if the second letter wasn't open at the bottom, but that's probably unavoidable if it's one of the constraints of the project. I thought it was pretty obvious that it was a paint bucket even without reading anything though. Hm. I don't like the third one as much as either the first or second. It's very close to the background colour and as a result, looks more like a mistake than anything. yeah i know what you mean. i mean i originally had it only two colors for a reason i'm still stuck between them though. i get what people are saying about it not looking like a paint bucket cause all edges weren't defined, but i duno. for me, my brain fills the rest in. i don't need every single border marked off for me to identify something as a rectangle shape. i wish the second letter had been an O or a U or something like that, instead of an A so it would eliminate that issue. now you got me wanting to go back to my original gigi |

I would stick with the first one; it's just a lot cleaner and nicer to look at than the second or third. I guess maybe you can curve the bottom (like a paint bucket would usually curve) to make it look more closed? But then you'd have to curve the top too.
Honestly though, I would just totally go with the first one. My graphic design TA last semester kept saying that things don't have to be totally and completely obvious, and that usually people who don't get it after a while are just stupid. lol. |
