It doesn't have any layers, but the one base layer. I know that you said that already, but to be honest, it looks like something that was made in mspaint. Tone down on the facial lines.

Yeah, I agree with Murat. Although, it's pretty nice for your first (and last, lol) time. Good job. thumbsup.gif

You can't really teach it by posting. Maybe look on Youtube or google up some tutorials?

The outlining is choppy. The facial hair on the guy's chin looks like he has a mask on his chin, tbh. And I think you should outline everything because it looks weird that you didn't outline one side of their faces. But nice try. thumbsup.gif

Just look at some. The problem with this is that for example the eyebrows are just black. Vectors would have like at least a few blacks and grays in the eyebrow but it wouldn't be noticeably different.

It's the overlapping layers of gradually darkening/lightening shades that creates the illusion of blending. If you actually blend it, it's not a vector anymore.

I guess you could create an infinite number of layers to get a true blend, but then the point is lost. You might as well blur/smudge or straight-up digital painting.

Ooo, that looks better! The eyebrows are still kind of 'flat' and the guy's hair is too. Othewise, great job! thumbsup.gif

It looks a lot better but the skin tones aren't the same. And it's still a bit choppy. But great improvement. flowers.gif
