The brief: Illustrative designs of the Jack, Queen, King of each of the four suits. And each suit will be represented by a season as well. So each suit of Jack, Queen, King will be drawn to reflect the season that it represents.

Diamonds: Winter / Hearts: Summer / Clubs: Spring / Spade: Fall

Updated previews of Jacks and Queens. Kings are in production and can be seen at the end of the thread.

Wowzers. The jack of the diamonds is my fav out of the two. I like how you kinda mixed old, with modern.

I'd really like to see what you'd do for the queen card.

I'd play with this deck. :)

That exactly xD

Wow thanks for all the positive feedback! I wasn't expecting them to be liked that much. Really motivates me to keep doing them. Thanks everyone.

Here's the first iteration of the Jack of Spades. Each card usually goes through about 4 to 6 iterations before I land on the final one so this one is by no means complete.

For it being incomplete, it's really good.

Update:
Reduced arm sizes for both arms, reduced the overall size of the Jack, changed the clouds, added leaves to the ground, gave him a backpack.

I like the edits you made. He definitely looks better with smaller arms.

Here's hopefully the final draft of the fall one. This took me a lot faster than I thought. Hopefully it looks finished and up to snuff for you guys.

And here's a side by side of the three currently done.
Reason for edit: Please thumb large images using [thumb][/thumb] tags. Thanks. - TJ

For the jack of spades, I get an odd feeling it's not reversed. It looks more like a reflection off of a lake.. :-\

If you look closely at it, you'll see that it is reversed. Maybe he was trying to actually make it look like it was supposed to be a reflection. shrug.gif

Ah I see the reflection. It wasn't really on purpose but nontheless it is still reversible and if you see it as a reflection, it just adds more depth to the piece doesnt it :P

Anyways an update to Spring: no real details yet, just changed the composition and resized and relocated some elements.

Thanks for all the kind comments! You guys truly overestimate me. I'm honored haha.

Good call on that divergent. I noticed it too before you mentioned it. I also added in his staff or whatever it is that he wields in the original card.
