did anyone else see it last night??? i was like, "CLARK, NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" when he put that ring on. bad timing.

That was my reaction too! The erasing everyone's memories was so typical. so disappointed.
Also the ending made me think Clark was a douchebag. still hot tho. wub.gif

I knew it was too good to be true. Why would they suddenly make Clark reveal his secret to Lois and the world in just one episode? They will drag that storyline for way longer than that.

Man Lois. I missed her so much. She was gone for so long.

Lois lover.

i wish he would just tell her. her and no one else. i'm so tired of him trying to protect everyone with that keeping my secret is too dangerous crap. i wonder what's goin' on with Tess.

STICK TO CANON STUPID SHOW.

I can deal with the lack of canon since it's par for the course in a comic book based series. However, some of the stuff historically they've done is beyond acceptable and reasonable cannon modification.

Believe it or not, this is the first season of Smallville that I've liked (there were parts of last season that I liked, because I liked Kara). The only episodes I couldn't watch was... you guessed it! Any episode featuring Lana. This season is supposed to be about Metropolis and the beginning of Clark and Lois' relationship (and a reentry into the original comic mythos). As far as I'm concerned, they threw in two garbage episodes for the sake of satiating Lana fanboys.

why does everyone have a problem with Lana? i know Clark is supposed to be with Lois but Lana was his first love. they had to get some closure on that relationship.

Ya know, to each their own. The reason *I* don't like her is several fold. Kristin Kreuk is a terrible actress, for one. I'll quote one of my favorite paragraphs written about her:
QUOTE
And don't even get me *started* on Kristin Kreuk's acting skills, which at present seem to consist of two blinks, a twitch, and a hair flip. Even the most well-written character can be utterly destroyed by a poor performance from the person playing the part, and I happen to think that calling KK's performance "poor" is actually giving her more credit than she deserves.

http://members.cox.net/hottoddy/smallville/blamm.html

Any act of "heroism" on her part has had selfish motivations. She's acted either out of vengeance or to be a superstar hero like Clark. Her little organization? Pathetic attempt at a "told you LEX!" disguised as a group help organization.

Man, I could go on for DAYS about this. lol Sorry, I just find her utterly unlikeable.

Good news (for me, anyway haha), friggin ZATANNA is on the show tonight. This is my favorite DC character of all time, a part from Wonder Woman (the two are neck and neck). Hope my girl is done well. :)

Now see, I've been a fan of Zee for years, I've read every book her name is even mentioned in. I don't think that they did so bad at all, ESPECIALLY given that it's Smallville. She spoke her incantations backwards, so good for them on keeping that (the first scene made me nervous). She gave Ollie her number, which, in a sense, is up to mythos since Zee is an "on-call" JLA member. You have to remember that Zatanna, as you may be familiar with, is much, MUCH older than the one portrayed this evening. Zee was fairly reckless in her youth (although the tantric sex she practiced in college with John Constantine is pretty damn hot). She's also behind the major "mind wipe" of Bats, during the Identity Crisis days. There's so much more.

Oh good lord, I should probably take this to PM's or email. LOL

Hehe, my first username here was "Zatanna".

^ I like Davis because he is an interesting and troubled character. The actor (Sam Witmer) portrays him realistically, without being overly dramatic about it. It's interesting to see how the flip side of Clark Kent evolved and overall, I think that the way Smallville has interpreted his storyline has been very well done.

Davis is much, much different than the typical comic book version of Doomsday. If you're interested, read the DC wiki entry, it's pretty short and for the most part (if memory serves) accurate.

Essentially, Smallville writers (in typical fashion) revised the character so that Doomsday would be more sympathetic (and bonus, hot!). For example, his journey to earth was basically landing on earth in a casket (he was being punished for mass murder, essentially) after said casket was tossed into space. In Smallville, General Zod and his wife created Doomsday because they couldn't have a child of their own. They then sent him to earth, believing that they should be the true rulers of earth and Doomsday ("the ultimate destroyer) would enable this to occur.

Also, I really need to get a life. haha
