Band Banners, Need help with backgrounds for banners Options

Ok, well i'm making a banner for my band. And i have no clue what to put in the background or what effects and such are attractive. I have no clue what people like to see in banners and makes them good. It's two pictures, me and my friends, I can post the pictures if that will help. Thanks guys.

Yeah, it might be helpful to post the pictures. There are lots of way to go about making a banner, but depending on the photos some ways will be better than others.

Honestly, I think you should re-take the picture you posted because it's blurry & the shutter speed was slow. Maybe a different angle would be better to give it some pizazz.

Ok, i guess i'll retake some pics today then, thanks for the advice, what types of angles/poses would look good?

Hmm.. I'm trying to find some pictures on Flickr to show you but I can't. I'll post them if I find some though. If I were taking the pictures, I'd just try a bunch of angles. Like maybe have the photographer focus on the end of the guitar or something like that. You guys should hire a photographer.

Hmm hiring a photographer would be awesome, except we are an online band, so we don't live near each other. So we'd have to hire diff photographers. I'll try diff angles though.

yea thats not the best pic at all but when that is all said & taken care of try blending all your pics together or something along the lines of that & just go from there.

what type of music, that would also help mucho.

If you do anything, it should be to improve the quality of that image ._.
Maybe try searching up pictures of members of your favourite bands or something. If you try look for live shots, you can find cool ideas for taking pictures while you're playing :D

i found 3 that i really like & wouldn't be too hard to reproduce the same type of effect:

Ok, well first off an online band is when we record seperatly, then send them to the next person, and make songs that way. But yea, i like the ideas. I'll be taking my own pics, but my friend is going to try and get a professional. We play like pop punk, and rock, bands like blink-182 and sum 41 are some examples. Thanks for everyones help! I'll keep looking, and take better pictures, i'll post them once i get them

I agree. Since hiring a photographer may not be possible, it's probably best to capture a few photos where the quality doesn't suck.

I like one for sure, you could make it look really grungy & vintage & that would like nice.

the ones in your room have too much going on & take the main focus off of u, which im guessing is what you want everyone to look too, when i look at them the my eyes go directly to the big plush dr pepper & than the computer than you.

Your wanting you to be the focal point you should make you the main thing in the pic, which imo the rest do a pretty good job of doing.
