Uronacid, I do believe you are correct about illmortal. I can only assume that's why he makes little sense and continues to argue the same stupid points after I totally pwned them already.

I'm mostly just doing this for fun. It cures my boredom when I find people of lesser intelligence. happy.gif That's probably why I still hang around cB. They're easy to find!

Thanks for the response. That you did (pwn them).

QUOTE(illmortal @ Mar 16 2009, 07:21 PM) *
Are you kidding me? Wait... tell me that you're tryin to troll me and that's why you seem stupid?

No-one is trolling you. I just notice you respond and I respond back. Perhaps you feel like people are trolling you because attempt to oppose everyone in your path.

Even when evidence against your replies is strong. Xbox360 does have a more ergonomic controller because your thumbs naturally fall over the top left joystick and ABXY buttons. Surgeons use PS3 controllers because they stretch the muscles in their thumbs not because they are comfortable. This is not to say that the PS3 doesn't have it's place.

The PS3 is just not the competitive gamers choice for a console. Xbox360 is simply put "a better console for multiplayer gaming". XboxLive is far superior to the PSNetwork, and you pay for it to be that way.

Xbox360:
+XboxLive offers a much better multi-player infrastructure
+More Raw Power
+More Ergonomic Controllers
+More Exclusive Titles
+NetFlicks
+Larger Gaming Library
+Easier to develop games for the system
+Less Expensive

PS3:
+Blu-Ray
+Better DVD Up-scale Algorithm
+Web Browser
+Fewer Blockbuster Exclusives
+Built in Wi-fi

If all I want to do is play games. Initially, it's much more cost effective for anyone to purchase an Xbox360.

Xbox360 Pro: 299.99
PS3: 399.99

Wait, now we need a game.

Xbox360 Pro: 299.99 + 59.99
PS3: 399.99 + 59.99

Wait, now my friends want to play.

Xbox360 Pro: 299.99 + 59.99 + 39.99
PS3: 399.99 + 59.99 + 42.99

Wait, now I want to go online.

Xbox360 Pro: 299.99 + 59.99 + 39.99 + (free for 3 months)
PS3: 399.99 + 59.99 + 42.99

Well, now... how much did I spend?

Xbox360: 399.97
PS3: 502.97

Considering the average gamer doesn't have a big budget, what do you think will happen? Even if you had the budget to purchase a PS3, the extra game or two might convince you to purchase an Xbox360. If you're strictly a gamer then initially the 360 is clearly the biggest bang for buck. You can do the same thing for less.

ps3 was lagging up until probably last year and this year. with it it having an obvious advantage over the 360 with exclusivity. i own both systems, and i find it funny how suddenly fan/fanboys of ps3 came out of the wood works to yell about the pwnage that ps3 is apparently doing to 360. when ultimately probably a year from now when MS releases it's typical money makers al la halo 4 mass effect 2, gears 3 (hypothetically speaking). the same thing will happen vice versa, and round and round in circles we go.

imo

360 took 06 and 07

ps3 took 08 and 09

stop the fanboyism

We all know Xbox is cheaper, yada yada. Seeing how games come out ever week or so, that advantage could shift from PS3 to Xbox360 and vice versa. This is just my personal opinion, but I think Blu Ray is the x-factor here. Many PS2 owners used that as their first DVD player and I believe this will follow suit.

on a random note, to lightly touch on what kevin said. i worked at bestbuy, for about 2 years now. and i can tell you from a retailer perspective, about 85% percent...yes 85% of all of the sales ive been apart of concerning the ps3, was about blu-ray. old dad's buying a ps3 as a cheap blu-ray player to compliment their home theatre. almost every....single....time....

so when your speaking about comparing sales, i always roll my eyes because i think of all the old timers simply buying a ps3 for some feature, not because they think its a better game system. and i cant help but think thats where it got the majority of its sales from.

Speaking of PS2... they canned backwards compatibility on the new versions of PS3. The only system on the market where they subtract major features.

I agree, and believe that's the PS3's saving grace. Speaking of fanboys and going back to your prior post, there's only one fanboy here. I'll have to go take a picture of all my consoles just to "prove" that I own them all. :P

Anyway, I still stick by my original post:
  • When it comes to competitive gaming... XBOX360
  • When it comes to gaming + functionality... PS3
  • When it comes to family... Wii
  • When it comes to portable gaming... DS
  • When it comes to portable gaming + functionality... PSP

I don't get it.. huh.gif

EDIT: Ohhhh I get it. You're showing that the PS3 has a Hard Drive error... compared to the shitbox and it's mainboard/videocard error. Gotcha.

P.S. Who ever got that error, all they have to do is just pull the HDD out and plug it back on.

That'll be all, thank you.

That's a yellow light, isn't it? That's only for HDD error.

The best part is.. the part I bolded in your quote.. shows how pathetically stupid you are, especially tryin to challenge my intelligence in ANYTHING regarding to computer engineering. YLOD acronym for Yellow Light Of Death.

Lets read the article you got your errored-PS3 image from:

QUOTE
Everyone knows about the Xbox 360 RROD (red ring of death) thanks to some 33% of games consoles getting this problem, now we have proof of the Sony PS3 death with a so called YLOD.

The video below shows a Playstation 3 with yellow lights, it sounds like a hard drive gone bad to me from the clicking noise as that’s what I have had with many PC hard drives.

Every product gets faults, but it’s just what percentage of that product that counts. We have heard around 1% of PS3’s have problems and why shouldn’t they, but this is nothing compared to the well known and joked about world-wide RROD.

In the case of the gamer that made this video below, his console has already been taken away by Sony.

I've never heard of a PS3 HDD failure. It apparently happens, but it's obviously pretty rare.

wow, you believe everything you read dont you?

it could be a number of problems, replacing the HDD might fix maybe 1/100 PS3s with YLOD.

It's VERY rare. And that's the whole less than 1% (factual but it's rounded to 1%) of PS3 errors. It's nothing else. That clicking sound people hear is in FACT the hard drive, just like a typical HDD that dies. People who are more aware about their PS3s would realize they can just go to a Best Buy or Comp USA and get themselves a much larger HDD for their PS3 and for cheap. I personally have a 1TB drive + 1TB external via USB.

It's been proven over and over again that the Yellow error light indicates that the HDD is having a problem, you f*ck. It's either completely dead, or the idiot who's getting the error must have dropped their PS3 or hit it hard enough for the HDD to some how get loose, if that's the case all they need to do is shut their PS3 off, open the door in the back, and unplug their HDD then plug it back in, DONE.

If you own a PS3, please God just sell it... you don't deserve one with your stupidity. It's like watching a person buy their first car without even knowing how to drive the damn thing.

I've got a 120 gig, because even that is excessive for a PS3.

lol no it's not. I have the 80gb model. $120 later on downloaded content, I ran out of space. That's when I got into modding/upgrading my PS3. That's when I realized that the PS3 simply uses a laptop HDD. All I needed was a converter to IDE for normal desktop (3.5') HDD.

EDIT: In fact I just checked my HDD, I've already filled up 203.54GB out of 1TB.

Ya I was thinkin maybe you didn't buy/download much of the downloadable content, thus being the reason why you don't have an issue with the space of your HDD.

Proven over and over? Lmao, give me a f*cking break you ugly piece of steroid shit. All these statements and nothing to back it up. If you want to keep sucking sony's dick, go ahead, but its idiots like you why Sony won't stop lying to their consumers, in the end, your nothing but a f*cking whore that loves to get beat by your tranny pimp. So go ahead, keep up with the insults, id be mad at the world too if my dick was as small as yours.
