I'm going to just consider these my first vectors since this is the first time I've ever used a vectoring program... all my other "vectors" were on bitmap programs.. so they don't count :3

^ I'm not sure about this one...... I thought it would look cool, but ehh.......

^This one I just did. I like it way more than #1 :O

comments?? Please give feedback. I love vectoring and the whole style of vectoring.. I want to keep practicing and get good at it.

edit//

ok I blurred the 2nd one.. is it better?

Hey, good job on your first try!
I personally prefer the first one, because the picture is clean itself.
Your attempt to vectoring the first image was close, but what's with the shapes inside the fruit?

The first one definitely looks better. Maybe put the second pear's stem on the first pear. I just think you need to work on your shaping because it's choppy. Other than that, it's good for a first try. flowers.gif

The first one isnt a vector? Its just a pear with a vector stem and it looks like its been blurred.

Ehh, maybe. But yeah, I like the first one better because it's cleaner and doesn't have those weird shapes in the pear. It might look a little better maybe if you kind of blended those shapes in the second one, but idk. Also, I agree with Nat, the edges are a bit choppy but other than that, good job. thumbsup.gif _smile.gif

Oh and too add a side note, I think the colors from the two images are a bit off.
Try to keep the same colors, shadows, shades, etc.

FYI, it's not a technically a vector anymore if you use effects that convert the layers to raster layers. whistling.gif

Anyway, they look pretty good. The area around the stem is a bit iffy in all of them, though.

A raster layer? I don't know the technical definition of one (Google is a magical place). All I know is that vectors can be resized without pixelation, rasters can't.

In every program I've used, if you blur something, it's no longer vector.

I prefer the first one (although I know it doesn't look like the common vector style), but without the blurred stem. Also, work on your shapes and making them more rounded.
