I'm taking an art class this semester and thought I'd share some of the projects we've done so far in class. I know I'm not as talented as some of you are here when it comes to art but I try. C&C would be appreciated.

This is our book. I had to carry that to almost every class. Our final project was to make the cover (which is shown in the last picture) and I chose photography as my theme.

The rooster one is too hard to see for me but the lion looks good. The eyes remind me of the pink panther. I think #5 would be better if you showed it completed, but yeah. I like the Mondrian one + the accordion book. So cool.

I love accordion books, I always make mini scrap books out of them.

Yeah I'm having a hard time with drawing the camera. I started over like 10 times. But I'll post it when I'm done.

man i hateeeeeeee those color exercises having to mix shit. i've had to do that so much to make tints and gradients and stuff. i always end up adding too much black or something and then i have to add tons and tons of white to try to correct it. that stuff is frustrating mad.gif

How do you do it? Because my teacher made us add our color, pink in my case, to the white, for the tints. And since we had to do 6 tints, she made us label each stick by number. And in order to get the tint to match the number, we had to add pink to white as many times as the number on the stick. If that makes sense.

that way sound simpler than how i did it. it was like trial and testing with mine. we just had a color swatch and she's like ok match that, good luck. also we had to mix a lot a lot of colors. like if i wanted orange or something i had to mix that color first, then use the orange to mix another color

looks like some fun projects. more fun than my projects for some of my art classes. all i can say is, make ur lines more clean. be clean. i see some dried up glue, and some lines on that african mask are crooked. teachers love attn to details and love a student who works REALLY hard on their projects... well the ones i had.

^Yeah I know. I'm trying to work on that but I get so impatient sometimes. pinch.gif

We've done so many projects since I updated this last so I'll try & scan everything. I finally finished my "Velazquez's Daughter" piece.

^Thank you. happy.gif

So I edited the OP again and included all of the projects we did this past semester. I left them as links because the scans were too big and it'd be a bitch to load. I doubt someone will look at all the links but if you're that bored, go for it. Enjoy!

wow. i wish my past highschool art classes had been more like yours. i lived in a rural community which funded sports but not the arts. the entire school shared a box of watercolour paints. :/
you ARE talented... i especially love your prints; they're absolutely lovely.

Lol we do? You have the red one?
