Parents., Who are you closer to? Options

I'm closer to my mom. I tell her (almost) everything. We have a great relationship. She's seriously like one of my best friends. With my dad it's different. The only time we really, really talk is to see how our days went & when I need help on something regarding school or when it comes to my computer & stuff like that. I wish our relationship was different. "/

defff, my dad. i used to get along horribly with my mom, i think its gotten a bit better. but i'm still not uber close with my dad, like we joke around adn stuff but i don't usually talk deep stuff with him

I'm pretty distant from both of my parents. Pretty much the same situation as yours Manny. Except that I have to teach HIM stuff about Computers! =P

My mom. We've been through a lot together. She's always there for me and I'm always there for her, so I'm glad it's not a case of me always depending on her. She can't drive (she actually lost her license when I turned 16), so she depends on me for that... which means we end up spending time together whether either of us likes it or not. She's definitely the strongest woman I know.

I'm not close with my dad at all. Growing up he was abusive and my parents split up a lot (even though they're still married). He's gotten things under control and now he's trying, but it's still awkward.

I'm definitely closer to my mom. We don't talk about everything, but we still talk. With my dad, it's just always awkward; he's not a very warm person, so our conversations are pretty much just him grunting in response. Sometimes he'll be super nice all of a sudden, smiling and joking around... but it's really weird when he does, so I end up grunting in response, haha. In other words, I see my dad as a cold and distant person so I treat him like he's a cold and distant person. Self-fulfilling prophecy? Yeah.

I'm not really close to any of my parents, probably because they're nothing like me. If anything I'm closer to my dad.

I'm really close to both my parents, but I'm definately closer to my mom. She's pretty much a middle-aged copy of me (or I'm a teenage copy of her...either works). Other than a little disagreement here and there, we never yell at each other or anything like that. I prefer spending the nights when I'm at home with her than locked up in my room by myself.

With my dad, I love the man, but we're complete opposites. He takes a lot of interest in my website and helps me with it a lot, but we don't have much else in common.

I'm really close with both of my parents. It's actually pretty hard to decide who I'm closer to because I've been through a lot with them but I think I'm probally a bit closer to my mom. She and my dad got a divorce a year ago so I've been spending quite a bit of time with my mom. I don't tell her everything but I tell her almost everything. She helps me a lot when I'm having trouble at school and home.

My dad though, he's really fun and really caring. I love to spend time with him because he's just so much fun and he understands me better. The only thing I'm not proud to say about my dad is that he does drink and he also smokes. :| But, everything is pretty much cool between me and my parents.

I can't really choose one over the other. I think both are equal. Some things my mom can't do physically, and some things my dad can't do mentally.

However, they tend to nag about me, twentyfourseven.

i'm closer to my mom mainly because i live with her. i'm close with my dad and my stepdad too. i don't necessarily tell my parents everything but i know i could if i wanted to.
