Rush Limbaugh is a fuckin pawn and a joke. The way ratings used to work with radio is that people would write in a diary or something about what they listened to and for how long and then ratings people would say that one person represents a thousand and that should be equivalent to the actual listenership. Then recently theyve come out with this little sensor that people would wear on their belt or around their ankle and what this would do is receive the stations being listened to in passing cars or in stores and it was supposed to be much more accurate.

The first report showed that Rush Limbaugh's ratings were incredibly over-extended in the original reports and that they were a lot less than what was thought before. This news came about a week after Limbaugh had signed a new contract for multiple millions of dollars for a few more years.

Limbaugh who is an Oxycodone addict needed to do something drastic to save his job. They can always just fire him and buy out his contract. So what he decided to do is make many anti-Obama statements to the tune of saying he hopes the new president will fail. He's a very positive person, haha. Anyways, what this did was create a band of growing anti-obama sentiment from people who didn't want him president in the first place and now they all bow to Limbaugh like he's a God because he says what "no one else dares to say."

He's a fucking tool and a joke. Granted, he is a skilled speaker and can spin whatever he says to make like-minded people believe every word he says. Hitler did the same thing.

Limbaugh is the "leader" of the conservative party. He just spoke at CPAC on Saturday night, so that might have something to do with all the news going around. _unsure.gif

He's a hypocrite, a sexist, a drug addict, and still you fucking morons flock to him like sheep. I have a friend who listens to Rush Limbaugh a lot and Ive noticed hes become more political recently but at the same time more close minded. I try to stay out of politics because there's rarely ever a time when both sides can agree on a problem and after ten minutes of pointless debate I just get aggravated. Abortion, gay marriage, the war, the economy, and so much other pointless shit that you really cant debate about effectively, neither side will back down. So whats the point? The country's on its way out, I don't think anyone's denying it. Be at peace for as long as possible.

Hey, if you knew me, you'd know that I don't support Limbaugh, I'm a liberal democrat. Haha, I listened to his speech cause it was on Fox News. Besides, since when can't you just listen to someone speak for the sake of listening to someone speak?

I misjudged based on what I read, my fault entirely. haha, you should have used the liberal smiley happy.gif

P.S. I am certainly not a democrat by any means, I could care less about the environment and I am so goddamn for the death penalty. In fact, I think people should be hanged and brought in front of firing squads in this country for some of the things they do. I could care less about these scumbags and I hope they burn in hell. But Im also for abortion and gay marriage. Abortion is necessary with lots of people and in most cases is should be mandatory. Gay marriage, jesus just let the fags do what they want, who gives a fuck. As long as their not touching dicks in front of my cereal at breakfast, I could care less.

Michael Steele, the chairman of the RNC, recently said, "Rush Limbaugh's whole thing is entertainment. Yes, it is incendiary. Yes, it is ugly." Limbaugh basically responded with something like, "If I were the head of the Republican Party, I'd quit, because the Republican Party is teh suck." And then Steele apologized, saying, "I have enormous respect for Rush Limbaugh. I was maybe a little bit inarticulate. There was no attempt on my part to diminish his voice or his leadership. I went back at that tape and I realized words that I said weren’t what I was thinking. It was one of those things where I thinking I was saying one thing, and it came out differently. What I was trying to say was a lot of people want to make Rush the scapegoat, the bogeyman, and he’s not." So basically, instead of sticking to his guns, he groveled before Limbaugh.

The story goes a bit deeper. Limbaugh's a pretty polarizing figure, so the Democrats are working really hard to make Limbaugh out to be the "spiritual" head of the Republican Party, if you will -- because Limbaugh basically repulses anyone but diehard Repubs, so the Dems hope to draw some in-the-middle-type people by doing so.

Me, too. I really don't have much respect for Limbaugh. And it's not because I disagree with almost everything that comes out of his mouth. It's because he considers himself to be an intelligent "journalist", when really he's an entertainer. He's no different from Jon Stewart, but Jon Stewart doesn't think of himself as a journalist.

Limbaugh is definetely not the leader of the Republican party, but a lot of Republicans listen to him.

I like the guy. People took what he said out of context, like they do with a lot of things.

His remark on how he thinks Obama's economic plan should fail.

Oh, bull. No amount of "context" changes his perfectly blunt message and the implications of it.

I don't like or listen to limbaugh. The reason I'm not a Republican is people like him. But I agree that I hope Obama fails. He's doing exactly what Bush did wrong, but on a grander scale.

If Obama gets what he wants, then enjoy our soaring debt and inflated currency.

Oh, Limbaugh. Such a pompous ***hole. The only reason why he's the "leader" of the Republican party is because people keep showing him deference, as Michael pointed out. And it's not just Steele, it's Bobby Jindal, various members of the Senate who've dared to cross him, and, not to mention, the Democrats. The Dems are using Limbaugh to play the party against its moderate members who hate Limbaugh. The only people who like Limbaugh are the really teeny teeny tiny conservative Republican base, and by elevating him as the leader of the party, the Dems are looking to gain support.

... um... I'm just going to put this out here and say there is no conservative party, you know that right? I couldn't tell if you were kidding.

Limbaugh never did coke. He was addicted to prescription medication.
