He's supposed to be talking about the economy I think.

I hadn't planned on watching his speech, but if he interrupts American Idol, I guess I'll be forced to.

I hadn't planned on it, but this seems to be a good topic to bring up one of the best youtube videos ever. It was Obama playing basketball with a bunch of middle schoolers, SHOWING NO MERCY. That shit was f*cking awesome.

The big stations (NBC, Fox, ABC, CBS) and the news stations (MSNBC, CNN, Fox).

Edit: They've moved American Idol to Wednesday because of this speech. He can't keep doin' this only on Tuesday.

there's not really any way to win there...if he tells the straight up truth people cry about him saying crisis too much and being too harsh. if he sits around and is all hopeful and shit people are going to cry about how he's not being straight forward enough with us.

<,<; he agreed with Nanci Pelosi (sp?) that more than 500 million Americans will lose their jobs in the coming months. There isn't even 500 million Americans in this country to begin with.

pelosi mispoke obviously. the estimate is 500,000 job losses a month i believe if we don't do something. she said million instead of thousand. people mispeak on numbers all the time, and she corrected it when someone pointed out what she had actually said. i don't really get how that's such a big deal. i've never seen anywhere where obama is repeating 500 million.

You've probably agreed with something because you thought the person said something else, even though they didn't

get over it, people mess up all the time

yeah i just really don't see so far how this is fear mongering. too much of the crisis talk is a bad thing, i agree, but honestly look how many people are losing their jobs and businesses going under. it's not fear mongering to say things are bad. things are bad. they sure as hell aren't good.

Exactly. Fear mongering is only fear mongering when there's not much to be scared of. Obama's being dramatic for a reason.

Of course I do. Bush, that piece of shit could not say a sentence without mentioning "terrorists, terrorism, terrorize".

Democrats and Republicans, different parties, same shit.
