I always wanted to get into BMX, but where I grew up, there was nowhere to practice. There wasn't even a skatepark for miles. Closest one was out in Raleigh, which was about an hour away. I'd love to give it a try now.

yeah me too. to me, street is just way more interesting to watch imo. i think vert would be fun if you were actually doing it but not watching. any vert at all that i've tried i've been a failure at though. i used to chicken out about 50% of the time when i was at the top of the half pipe laugh.gif

seasonal0.gif is not trying some of that crazy shit, that is for the white people

In an effort to keep this topic alive...

General question: what kind of riding do you prefer? Street? Vert? Park? Dirt (bmx)?

I like to skate street. I do occasionally sometimes skate vert but I prefer street.

Since JC already mentioned Rodney Mullen, how about Jon Comer?

Terry Kennedy isn't a representative of the Black Community in what is commonly considered, a White man's medium; no. Terry Kennedy is a n*gga who can skateboard who lived the rough life and made it big.

It's big difference between TK's parts in in skate vids and Kevin Booker (Team Ice Cream).

TK's better but that's a different topic entirely.

Street is more fun to watch, but vert is more fun to actually do.

Get a mountainboard, those things are sick.
