I finally finished redesigning Brandon's blog today. It looks good on Internet Explorer, FireFox and Safari so I'm assuming it looks good on other browsers as well. Check it out. (I suggest reading his wicked posts, too.) It's on the simple side but that's what I was going for.

C&C?

The indent in the sidebar is mad wide. Can you decrease it? I'm also not a fan of Lucida Grande.

Other than that, I like it. The contrast between the grey and the colorbars and cranberry colored text is nice.

I don't really like Lucinda Grande, either. It was just the default font of the Classic theme. I changed it to Arial, though. Thanks, Carrie! _smile.gif

I love everything about it, maybe not the colorbars as much. They're a little "rainbow" for my tastes, but if that's the style then just ignore me lol. Good job. :)

I like everything but the rainbows. It's not because I'm not fond of those things, it just throws me off because of how masculine everything else is.

You did a fantastic job, Mike.

This is pretty good. I get that you were trying to bring some color to the layout, but I think all the brightness is kind of random.. (No offense meant, of course.) Maybe try a more muted palette? Nice setup.

Aw, at least you don't live in Davidson County, where people are voting (or not voting) for an "English Only" amendment. =/

I like the change, Mike.

Oh and Brandon, are white middle aged women allowed on your forum? :p

Yeah I'm not feeling the rainbow bar so much, tbh. It just looks random. I think burgundy would look better. I like the textures you used but I don't like how it overlaps at the top right. I'm picky about things, I know. But other than that, I like it! I love the simplicity of it. Great job. flowers.gif

^ Yeah, I think sticking with a more subdued/less varied color combination would look good too. I love kuler for ideas.

No doubt, man. Oh, and if you hover your mouse over the picture, you'll see that I give you credit for the image. I'm going to start doing that a lot more since there are a lot of talented photographers on cB.

Also, little by little, I'm going to be adding members who also have dope blogs to the blogroll. I'm officially a muthaf*ckin' fanboy for Sandy's tumblr. There are a lot of talented people on this site; writers, photographers, designers, etc. We can strengthen the network if we incorporate others in our blogs outside of cB.

I write a lot of poetry, but I rarely share my work
