I dont think ill of black people. It doesnt phase me one bit that he is black. But I did know by saying that that I would be called names like redneck and racist. I dont think Im making a rash judgement at all. Obama had so many advantages going into this campaign.. the money given to him by liberals and celebrities, the youth movement, his color, the mass media being on his side. Im not un-informed and I dont live under a rock and the fact is that a large group of African Americans voted for this guy because of his color and chose to completely overlook the fact that he is a liar, a flip-flopper on issues, has hardly any experience and his shady relationships. But I was only saying how it would be fascinating to see how it would play out if he ran against another black man. You all think I am un-informed because the majority of people on these forums have opposing views to me. Im not racist and when I make comments like that I shouldnt have to explain that Im not. You all need to get a little more informed and stop jumping on me for making harmless comments. YOU need to stop being stupid and jumping to conclusions that ALL of us are unimformed and calling you names. |

the problem was the you singled out one specific racial group as being uninformed and then went as far as to say 90% of them.
i don't get how it even makes sense. you want two black people running so they will have to make an informed decision. ok well how is that different than every year prior to this? because every year prior to this the black population has been having to decide between two white people. so on what grounds were all the black people misinformed then? or they are only misinformed this year? you're saying you want an election where they actually have to choose not based on race. GUESS WHAT, THAT'S EVERY PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION BEFORE THIS. you act like this would be a first for black people. if they have had to make informed decisions on who to vote for between to white people prior to this, why would they just throw it all out the window and suddenly be completely uninformed about democrats and republicans for this election? i don't get it. |

I actually hope a black man runs against Obama in 2012. Then we will make that 90% of the black population actually make an informed decision of who to vote for. i think that's a big judgment to claim 90% of the black population wasn't informed because they picked a black guy. the majority of black voters would probably vote democrat anyway. to me that's like saying since the majority of conservative christians vote republican that they aren't informed. maybe they are informed, their information just points them towards that party anyway? i'm black and i think i'm pretty informed about my decisions as are a lot of other black people i know. JC backed this up well and i have also heard that the majority of black users do vote democrat. But just because of that statement doesn't mean that all of them voted for Obama, some probably voted for McCain instead so its kinda petty when i hear/see people say that "all blacks voted for obama". Of course certain people are more likely to vote democrat and some republican but people shouldn't just assume that just because they are in that category means that they always vote like that. So think before you post and do some research. |

You all need to get a little more informed and stop jumping on me for making harmless comments. Yes, because you are very informed. You said maybe to Palin running for presidential office. That alone should be enough to disqualify you from any more intelligent political debates. Obama might not have been the most experienced candidate out of the two but the people voted for him. And you need to get off your "I'm effing informed damnit" soapbox when you obviously don't even bother to read cnn.com 1) Those shady relationships you speak off. McCain's supporters very vocally used a picture of Obama with a Washington lobbyist that was a huge player in the Freddie/Frannie Mae fiasco. They said that despite Obama's promise to help America with the current financial crisis, he obviously takes direction from the people who are responsible for it. The lobbyist himself issued a statement. He met Obama ONCE for a few minutes which was when the photo was taken. He then turned around and cited several photos that showed McCain with a few of his advisers/friends. He noted that those people were the ones that he used to report to. Maybe his pastor isn't the best role model for Obama. But, despite what the pastor has to say about political/civil issues, Obama attended church to hear about God. Everyone has friends who has flaws and some people chose to continue friendships despite those flaws. I mean, Mccain apparently still think highly of Palin. 2) Obama might change his opinions on issues but I rather have him try to change his agenda according to what new things he learns instead of steadfastly sticking to his original views. Even in the midst of massive Republican failure, Mccain's campaign and his own party keep promising that they will stick to true Republican ideals, even though most of the American people disagree with that course of action. 3) Even if someone voted for Obama because of his race, is that exactly wrong? People, especially from YOUR crowd, vote based on religion. So which is the lesser evil? I think it would be interesting if Obama ran against Palin. Let's see if she can humiliate herself some more. |

and one more thing i just want to add, i really don't think you paid much attention in this election. So next time you want to start a debate, do some re-search and know how to back yourself up so you don't sound so ignorant again.
Also, if i could i would have voted for McCain even though Palin was pretty fluky. Though im not upset that Obama won, and even if i were i wouldn't be saying stuff like some of the stuff you have mentioned. |

This is off-topic...... kind of? but I just wanted to add that where I live, tons of racist redneck freaks still drive around in their humongous gas-guzzling trucks with "VOTE FOR MCCAIN" still stickered all over them.
I think it's disgusting. Those people are horrible.--Not because they wanted McCain to win(which is perfectly fine with me--they're entitled to their opinion) it's just that they're too f*cking retarted to just accept the fact that Obama is now the president and that McCain will probably die before he will even get to be president.. |

I mean I'm not saying he is going to bring us to ruins he will probably do well but still. I think partly it has to do with people hoping he does do well and has a chance for reelection. Also, history shows that America tends to stick with the same president during times of extreme hardships in fear of creating more problems during transitions. |

Im not racist in saying that the majority of black people voted for Obama because ..its true. Yes, I did say that 90% of black people didnt know anything regarding Obama. Just like I will say I think that 90% of everyone voting for Obama didnt know much about him at all. Either A) They are young and ignorant and only listen to what the media and their beloved celebrities are telling them to vote for, B) They watch nothing but CNN and got caught up in the love affair they had with Obama and paid attention to the reports of how Palin is a moron and McCain is an even bigger moron for picking her as VP or C) They really do think its a smart idea to hand their country into the hands of a man with no experience, socialist ideas, has a pastor/mentor of 20 FREAKIN YEARS who HATES America and who happens to lie in his autobiographies.
You may think I am ignorant but, not all, most of you shout f*cking c**t, Punk Bitch, Redneck, Racist whenever I make a comment. How ignorant and immature is that? Im saying your un-informed? You called me un-informed because I think its a good idea that a black guy run against Obama in 2012! The fact is that the majority of voters dont pay attention to politics. They dont read what is going on and what laws are being passed. They dont vote in local elections. Then, when the presidential election comes around, they simply vote for who looks good, who sounds good, who the media is telling them will change this country. So most people dont even make an informed decision, anyway, which is pretty sad. So all those black (and perhaps white) people who werent paying much attention anyway: Throw a black guy into the picture who gives great speeches, who the media and hollywood just ADORE and most of those black people are going to vote for him! Look at this country with all the crap going on all the time, and you will see that most people dont pay too much attention to enough things as it is. DO NOT CALL ME RACIST. Obama is a moron, it just so happens that he is BLACK. Doesnt make me racist to say negative things about him. I can say negative things about whomever I please and it doesnt make me anything. If your black and your going to bash on Palin, I cant call you racist can I? NO. |

i didn't call you any of those names. reply to me. and if you wanted to say that the majority of people who vote aren't informed enough...ok, but that's not the same thing as saying that 90% of black people aren't informed when they vote. All I was saying was I would like to see how it is played out were Obama be up against another black man. Like I said, most people dont pay enough attention to politics and in this time, it is crucial to do so. People may roll their eyes at the idea that this country is slowly falling into socialism and ignore that Obama has socialist ideas. People bought into what Obama was selling: a fake campaign built on lies. Both white people and black people are guilty of that. But everyone looked at Obama as being able to be the first black President, so they disregarded all the factors that make him unqualified for the job. So, having already a black man as the President of the United States and taking that away from him in 2012, I would like to see just how many of those black people would be for Obama or the other black guy. I singled out Black people, and then went right along and singled out white people after that. Black people were just so enthralled by the idea of having a black man as president, which is a monumental thing. Not all black people, mind you. Some. Most. A lot. It just so happens that he is a complete fake. A fake "savior." And you think every presidential race before this has been about race? Not like this campaign. A black man and a white man: pretty different than previous elections, Im sure. QUOTE Things like that make people think your ignorant. I mean dont get me wrong its cool to have an opinion but theres a point to where it can almost be taken a bit too far and saying that "blacks mainly choose him becuase he was black" is an ignorant thing to say. You all can think I am ignorant. Just so happens I am not going to sit by, like too many conservatives do, and not let my opinion be heard. |

yes, two days in office and you already are the authority on what kind president he will be
