Man, I really hate questions like this because, even though I have a lot of likes, I never know which ones are important enough to me to point out.
Anyway, some of my current interests/things I like to talk about are: netball, television shows and movies and reviewing them, artists similar to John Mayer and Jason Mraz, psychological disorders, why people think/act the way they do in general, graphic novels, working with children and childcare/development in general,... |

netball has always been very confusing looking to me. is it more fun than basketball
(of course it isn't, basketball is the best sport ever invented in the history of the earth) |

LOL I hated netball in elementary school because I was convinced it was a ripoff girl version of basketball (and I looooved basketball). I changed my mind when I actually started playing it.
Anyway, I wouldn't recommend netball to guys simply because they'll think it's a sissy sport. There was a guys team at my school for one season, but it kind of died because there was only one other guys team in our district (their coach only made them play netball because the basketball season had ended and he thought they would benefit from learning netball). It's is very different from basketball; there are a lot more nit-picky rules, and everyone has a specific position and are only allowed in certain parts of the court (it is broken into thirds, and within the two ends are semi-circles for shooters). There are two shooters (GS and GA) and two people to defend the net (GK and GD) on each team, but only GA and GD are allowed in the center third. Then there are the WD and WA who can only go into two thirds of the court, but not in the semi-circles. Lastly is the C who can run into any third, but not the semi-circles. People must be three feet away from the people they're checking and there is no dribbling allowed. I doubt any of that ^ made sense. The easiest way you can learn the game is to play it. |

badminton ( i thought it was badmitten this whole time until my spell check corrected me) is more of a game than a sport to me. i never think people doing some hardcore badminton training. i always have arguments over what is a sport and what is a game. basketball, football, baseball, track, ect, these are "sports" to me.
i'm not even talking to anyone specific, i'm just saying i always argue between games and sports. some people try to call things like darts a sport and put it on espn |

Lol, I always just smile whenever someone say badminton isn't a sport. Until you actually play real badminton, and not the typical "picnic" in the park badminton stuff or like that, then you don't know what badminton is like. It's a very competitive sport. Badminton actually requires more running than tennis also. If you ever join our badminton team in highschool, our coach was crazy in the conditioning. It's a sport that gives a good work out.
But if you think about it, the labels sports and games, are interrelated. Like did you see that basketball "game" ? I don't know how to explain this but yeah.. Sally just mad, cuz she sucks in badminton. btw check this out ;) http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn41...s_/ai_n16371121 |

...working with children and childcare/development in general,... i love working with kids too. waddlers are my favorite age group (that's 13-22 months). it's so interesting watching them learn how to be independent. i used to teach the kids in my class (i worked at a daycare) a little sign language. it's such a good idea for kids that age because they can't always communicate clearly what they want/ need through speech. i enjoy going to the movies and theatre. i'm into dance, although i haven't taken a class in a few years. i met a lot of jazz musicians my senior year so i got into going to their gigs. i just like being around them 'cause they're so inspiring and good at what they do. i love cooking too. i like a lot of things. |
