My mouse has been lagging like A LOT this past couple of days and i found that it works better without the mouse pad...scratch that, it works without the mouse pad, with the mouse pad it barely clicks anything when you click just once or twice, and it doesn't move fast, its glitch.
Is this normal? or what? |

You probably need a new mouse.
![]() And I think this would be better in Technology. Do you want me to get someone to move it there for you? |

If you're using a mouse with the ball, have you cleaned it? If you're using an optical mouse, you don't really need the mousepad.

Sounds like your mouse has expired! If you're using an optical mouse, don't sweat the mousepad too much - they're for support and to increase friction for trackballs. If you're using a wireless mouse, I'd suggest checking connectivity.
It really does sound like you need a new mouse, though. http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-Comfort-Op...2244&sr=1-2 Yummy. |

^Oh I have that mouse. I like it a lot. It has this zoom thing on the side (the red button) & the scroll thing is really smooth. I highly recommend it.

I've never used a mouse pad. It feels the same to me either way, but I think that your mouse takes more damage without the mouse pad (plus my computer desk has all these scratches now)

Opticals don't need mousepads except on reflective surfaces like glass.
Lasers can be used on much more surfaces such as glass, ceramic tile, etc. If you have a ball mouse you should buy another one that isn't one as it may be overused |

It's awesome for designing and gaming. The scrolly thing in the middle also doesn't lag, like my old one did. It's a pretty tight mouse. |
