comment box stopped working Options

alright, so maybe you guys have noticed, maybe not - my comment boxes won't work anymore on any of my pages since the switch to myspace 2.0 (i'm still using 1.0, fyi)

is anyone else having this problem?

well, it's a private profile; so that wouldn't do any good.


has no one else's comment boxes stopped functioning since myspace made all their updates? i've tried using generators from like ilyts, whateverlife, skem9, etc - and none of them work.

i even tried making them myself, or pulling the code directly from some of my layouts submitted here, which worked just fine & dandy when i submitted them.


i'm completely at a loss.

I also had this problem, but now I just use a link to the add comments page.

okay, i think i've figured out the problem - but it's nothing fixable.

my friend, who's using profile 2.0, has a fully-functional comment box on her page; so i copied and pasted the code onto my page, which is currently 1.0, and saved. low & behold, the comment box did not work.

i went back to look at the code to see if i could figure something out and noticed that after i had saved, myspace had converted the "http://comments.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.ConfirmComment" part of the code into an msplink. this, of course, completely throws the comment box off, which makes it not work.

i have no idea whatsoever how to fix that - so i guess i'm just stuck using a link instead of a comment box.

so it looks like 2.0 is fine for comment boxes, but 1.0 is not.
