When I'm shopping for clothes I like to take my time, so I can dig through racks of clothing and try things on. Whenever I drag friends along I feel like I am wasting their time and can only imagine how bored they must be. Whenever I go with friends, we are either window shopping or all looking for clothes of our own.

I like to shop for clothes by myself. A second opinion is always nice, but most of the time when we go somewhere with the intentions of shopping for clothes we get distracted.

Sooo... do you like to shop alone, or do you like to have someone with you?

Depends on who I'm with. It's fun to shop with friends who have the same...shopping style as you? I'm the type of person who goes through racks of clothing pretty thoroughly if I'm in a shopping mood. I have a lot of fun with people who shop like that too.

I hate shopping with people who just poke around at a few things and then lose interest, because then you feel bad that you're still looking around and they're just standing next to you, so you just give up the search and go on to the next store, when really you wanted to look through everything. =_=

But even if I had nobody to shop with I could still have a great time. It's not that I prefer it, it's just that...well, I don't mind it.

^ Haha, I'm one of those people who poke around and then stop. Not because I lose interest... just because I lose hope LOL

I can't shop alone or with my friends... I just can't. I like going with my mom or sister because they always find things I might like. My friends say I'm a horrible shopper.

I have never shopped with a guy in my life, except for my brother, who doesn't count. And even then we only looked at stuff for him. Although you'd probably be a good candidate ;)

Yeah, I always feel bad if I am still looking and they are done, just standing around...

I have friends who have a totally different style than me, so they don't like what I pick out. Those friends don't ever go clothes shopping with me.

This.

Or I sometimes like going with my mom because she'll give me an honest opinion even if I don't ask for one lol.

I used to prefer shopping with other people, mainly my sister...and I've never shopped alone for clothes by myself until this year when I got my car.

Since my sister is in college now and my friends are still in school when I get out, I go shopping by myself. It still feels weird but it's not as bad as I thought.

I only shop with people who like to shop as much as me. I hate it when I go shopping with friends who aren't really interested or don't understand or want to understand fashion. It makes me want to rip my hair out. But overall, I prefer shopping with friends, because I need someone there to either convince me to buy stuff or not to buy stuff.

I like shopping by myself so I can take my time and decide on things that I really want. I can spend like an hour or more at a store, just looking sometimes.
But I hate when I'm with other people, and they brush around and then follow me when their done. I usually just drop the things I'm debating of buying, leave and hope nxt trip, it won't be gone..

But I can shope with certain friends who shop like me, haha or can shop at other stores, while i'm in another.

Depends on my mood. There's some days I just want to look alone but other days, I like to have friends for second opinions and to help me search, and like lots said already it also depends on the friends. tongue.gif

Best friend and I shopped for ~7 hours nonstop once. Crazy. I like shopping alone cause I'm pretty picky, but it looks funny sometimes. It seems like everyone at the mall is with someone.

Yeha, it depends on who I'm with, too.

I have two best friends, one from high school and one in college. The one in high school is so much fun to shop with. She's got amazing taste and I always have fun when I'm shopping with her.

The one in college is not so fun to shop with. She's fun to hang out with, but her taste in clothing is pretty generic and... boring. Whenever I find something that I like or I know my other best friend would love, she takes one look at it and gives me an "eh" look. sad.gif So whenever I'm shopping with her, I just help her look for stuff instead of buying shit for myself.

Generally though, when I go shopping for myself, I like to go alone. If I go with people, we split up once we get into the store.

I like shopping with people who share my sense of style. My sister, at only 15, might as well be an encyclopedia of designers. She's like a Fashion Week sponge of information. It's always fun shopping with her.

If me and the boys hit the mall, we always, always, always get distracted. Always. My best friend is the type of guy who will spot a girl, and walk up to her in his boxers while the tailor is taking his trouser measurements. It's hilarious. Generally, we go into a store like Express and we're loud, grabbing anything off the rack, hitting on females for a 'second opinion,' etc.

If I go alone, I won't spend much time in the store. It's like a seek and destroy mission.

rofl this reminds me of Tony and me. I always end up picking stuff for him, even though I have the intention of buying something for myself.

I am realllllllllly picky, and sometimes I'll be at a store for a while and end up with NOTHING! It's hard to shop with other people unless it's in a store that I know for sure that I might like something. Yes I'll try on a bunch of things too, but damn I feel crappy when I'm with people who buy a bunch of stuff because they fit the clothes so well and I don't. I'd rather shop alone than with friends, especially since most of my girl friends don't have the same taste as me. :[ I usually only go shopping with my niece or my sister since we all kind of have a similar taste and like the same stores. Plus, my sister and I are very similar in size so I'll know that clothes would fit me at the stores she shops at, haha. :P

i think most guys would get annoyed, the worse kind of dates are mall dates unless he's really into fashion. i do tend to shop more with my guy friend, but i don't buy anything unless i'm by myself. shopping by yourself is just more efficient, since people might have different tastes. second opinion only clouds my mind when it comes to purchasing.

A smart guy would shop with his woman. It pays dividends.

Ahh yes...I am like this with my friends as well.

I only trust three females when I go shopping, and they are all into high fashion. I have brought the guys that I hang out with into my realm of clothing, so now they like the same shit I do, so we always end up staying in a store for a hot minute to look at shit and try shit on.

When by myself, I usually plan out what stores I need to hit and what I need to buy so that I don't waste time in that ghetto ass mall.

I wish my brothers liked to go shopping sad.gif

I usually end up buying them clothes for their birthdays, holidays, and the like, and they wear that throughout the year. I always know if my brother who's here doesn't like something that I've given to him because he will give me the "it's too nice for me to wear. I have to wait for the right occasion." I have to remind him that if that 'right occasion' doesn't happen soon he should use the gift recipt to get something more fitting for the current occasion.
