I work at a restaurant, and about 2 months ago this guy name Patrick started working there. After about a week of him being there, I noticed him starting to flirt with me. He would kind of throw things at me, find little ways to touch and poke at me, and every time we walked by me, he would say something funny or witty and he smiled a lot whenever he talked to me. I only noticed him acting that way towards me, and no one else, so I assumed he was into me. However, another girl we work with said that he was at her Halloween party and he was all touch/feely with everyone, so I'm wondering if I misunderstood our he was acting around me. She said he was drunk though do I don't know.
Anyways, this what I interpreted as flirting went on for a couple weeks and I tried to initiate hanging out with him outside of work...so I asked him to give me a ride home one night after our shift and I was going to ask him to hang out sometime but I couldn't work up the nerve. I decided to ask him the next time I worked with him, but then he didn't show up one day when he was supposed to work, and our boss took him off schedule. Since then, I haven't seen or talked to him...and it's been about 3 weeks. I can't seem to get him off my mind though. Yesterday I noticed that his phone number is still in the employee contact box...and I was thinking about writing it down and calling him...but I'm wonder if that would be too creepy/stalkerish??? I don't know how else to get a hold of him though. I was thinking about calling him and saying, "Hey this is Ashley from (our restaurant name), do you remember me? (He should say yes. I got your number from the contact box at work and I hope you don't think I'm a freak for calling you like this, but I don't know how else to get a hold of you...but I was wondering if you wanted to hang out sometime." So would that be too creepy if I did that? |

He seems like a flirtaitous individual in general. It's probably not worth chasing after, if you ask me. It doesn't matter if he "flirted" with you in the past; I say if he was interested in you, he would've made contact with you after he got "laid off."

I agree with him. Think of it as real world facebooking.

I'd say go for it anyway. You never know. It could turn out to be good. If he doesn't want to hang out, then no harm done. You'll both forget about eachother. Live life a little.
