do you answer questions in class or do you just sit there and stare at your notebook while expecting the normal people to have to answer every time?

everyday in american gov't there is only like 5 out of 40 of us that ever answer the questions and it's really awkward when the 5 who do get tired of it or don't know the answer. why do people never ever answer shit? i always feel guilty to just sit there forever and never answer when no one else is because the teacher, she's always looking at me like "just answer it jc mad.gif" and it makes a seasonal0.gif be like "dammit stubborn.gif"

Last year I answered in a few classes I felt comfortable answering in, math/sociology classes. After answering stuff/offering opinions in sociology, or offering other ways to work a problem in math, they would turn to me for the rest of the semester :(

Not too terribly much to be called upon anymore, this year.

Accounting - straight up lecture
Religion Studies - straight up lecture
Climatology - some questions but I tend to avoid being in that class since it's easy to sign in and skip
Management Info Systems - Skipped since class #3

I try to answer questions during tutorials and labs whenever I can. I hate it when there are long awkward silences... sadly though, I sometimes come off as stuck-up when I do speak up, so now I just kind of keep my mouth shut and hope someone else would answer the damn questions.

Hardly ever...because I don't do my shit, so I can't really answer because I don't know anything LOL. Then bam, midterm time comes along, and I pwn all the keeners when I study.

Anyway the only classes I really have any opportunity to answer questions is Organizational Behaviour and Psychology. The others are Econ, a class of like 300 people so he doesn't ask questions, and Math, where it's straight up note-taking.

I would answer if I could, like Yanlin said, I don't want to listen to dumbf*ck answers, but since I don't do any work until the last minute and therefore cannot supply my own answers, I don't go to my Psych class at all.

I answer if no one else does. Because if no one answers then the teacher just stares at the entire class and it's extremely awkward

Well, IN COLLEGE WE GOT LECTURE HALLS! D: Psssh.

However, in a few of my political science courses as well as some other random classes I took, we have small discussion sections and I would raise my hand to answer questions when I actually knew the answer. But if someone already said the answer, I'm not going to reiterate what they said - although there are some people who do that. It's like, DUDE IT JUST GOT ANSWERED, DON'T TRY TO BE ALL SMART. whistling.gif

This quarter I haven't raised my hand to answer any questions in my poli sci section since I don't even attend the lecture nor do I do the reading - I am lazy. Still got an A- solid grade though. That is the way to do for a xmas.gif.

i'm in the art department most of the time so studio classes can't be that big anyway. i think my classes are pretty small next semester too other than geology and anthropology which are i think 150+ at least.

I almost never answer questions in class. usually because I tend to sleep, and then just do the homework at the end.

I hardly ever do, except in French... Whenever the answer actually comes out of my mouth it sounds a lot less eloquent than in my head pinch.gif
