"I don't know, they've got brooms."
-Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale)

The official CB club for Twilighters
Twilight, the movie, is currently scheduled for release on November 21st* of this year! That being said, a lot of us are anticipating this film like you wouldn't beleive, so what else could be better than an official CB Twilight film club?!
Of course there are other Twilight related threads, so go check 'em out!
| Twilight/Harry Potter | Twilight Cast | Edward Cullen | Eclipse | Jacob Black | Breaking Dawn |
No strict rules, but please don't join and never post again.
I will be updating a bit later with various links to videos, interviews, articles, cast pictures, etc, but i'm on strict orders for the creation of this thread so i'm not going to dwell more than needed. One more thing, we need somebody who has the time to "report" things, like videos and such. Obviously, anybody can do this at any point, but the Reporter will do the majority of it!

Man, when Edward walked out into the sunlight and started glittering, my friends and I SO expected him to shout "JAZZ HANDS!".

The movie was really cliche'd and far too catering towards a tweener audience. I mean, I'm not a huge Jacob lover but he was the best part of the film. For me to say that is saying A LOT.

They've already green lit New Moon so I'm hoping the director (and the slacktastic special effects) make some vast improvements.

LOL
To be perfectly honest, I think the movie sucked ass.

-Kristen = beige wall.
-I never got the smoldering vibe from Edward.
-I don't think you could truly understand the depth of their love for each other from that movie. Not even a tad bit. It kind of went from awkward stage to YOUAREMYLIFE.
-wtf? No mention of Jasper's ability?
-Billy drove the truck at one point? Oh yeah, forget that he's handicap.
-I hated that half of the movie was made up of CLOSE UPS. GAH. I mean, Robert is gorgeous, but I didn't want to see his face take up the screen for the whole movie.
-FUNNIEST PART EVER: Edward's reaction when Bella walked into the Biology room. He looked like he was gonna vomit; I laughed until I nearly pissed my pants.
-When Edward first walked into the sunlight, at first I just thought he was sweating really badly. Then I realized that was supposed to be sparkling, and I laughed my ass off. XD

I have to say, I really loved the ballet scene though.
Kristen showed some emotion; too bad it had to take her getting her head bashed, her leg broken, and her hand bitten by a vampire.
James was awesome.
Also, the prom scene was sweet.

I hated all of the "cool modern lingo" in the movie. Billy said he was "down with the kids"? Eric kept on saying "chillax, yo" or "dude, chill." Too much weird lingo from everyone.

^Yes, you're quite right about everything. Well, mostly.
I like Kristen, but she's too stoic to play Bella.

It was exactly the way I expected. They left parts out I wanted to see. The casting was dead on to me [for the exception of Bella]

The part I liked was the bedroom part. When they kissed.
The least favorite part was when they were rushing into the woods, basically colliding so much info in one scene.

This is so funny! Hayley from Paramore and Robert

I heard something interesting today!
So apparently at a party recently, Robert was drinking a six-pack of Heineken. Nothing special right?
So Kristen whipped out and smoked a bong, right in front of everyone.
WHICH WOULD EXPLAIN SHE'S SO UNEMOTIONAL; SHE LIKEY THE MARY-JANE!

i just saw this movie. i wasn't very impressed.

i thought bella and edward kinda sucked at being bella and edward. i thought the cullens and charlie played their parts way better than the rest. charlie was probably my favorite really. i thought the imagery was good...cullen's house, bella's house, mountains, overall scenery and junk like that.

the story was choppy and incoherent imo. if you didn't read the book i'd think you'd be confused. there's too much unspoken dialogue in bella's head in the book that didn't translate well at all over on screen imo. plus i also thought there was no sense of time. it seemed like one day she got there, within in a couple days they were in love, then a few days later they were running from james. it just seemed rushed and didn't make it very clear how drawn out some things were in the book.

No offense to everyone who loved the movie but in my opinion it was horrible.
I think Alice and Charlie were the best actors, and I agree with JC about Edward and Bella.
Robert Pattison seemed so stiff.

I pretty much agree with everything you said. I can't believe it was two hours long and they somehow managed to ruin it within the first ten minutes.

The movie was far from horrible, what's worse then horrible? .. I'm still racking my brain as to why so many people love it. Doesn't anyone know what a good movie is? :| No offense but really I just don't understand.

I pretty much ditto this. There's really a lack of a sense of time's passage in this movie. It occurs over the course of six months, not just one month (Bella arrives in Forks in March, Mike asks Bella to the prom and says it's in a month). But even so, that month seems rushed.

Yay for watch-movies.net.

Uh.. I'm not entirely sure if I'm siked about this.

So the rumors are true. I've confirmed that Summit Entertainment is taking Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke off the sequel in this big new franchise. No doubt my news will speed up the studio's announcement, and Summit will surely scramble to spin this as all going down amicably along the lines that she "couldn't fit the film into her time frame". But this terrible news for Hardwicke comes just as she and the Twilight cast are on their European press tour. No doubt, tomorrow's interviews in France will now focus entirely on what, if anything, Catherine did to deserve this treatment. This also could blow up into a scandal for Summit if it chooses a male director over Hardwicke, whose Twilight easily beat Mimi Leder's 1998 Deep Impact box office gross as the biggest opener for a female director. That was a record embraced by Hollywood feminists as a sign of growing gal power. Now Hardwicke's career will surely be damaged by this very public firing because, even though the pic was skewered by critics, it is already a $160M low-cost blockbuster.

Hardwicke fired off Twilight franchise

Took the words right out my mouth.

Didn't read the book, but I did some reading about the plot before watching, so there wasn't as much confusion. The way people at my school were hyping this, I thought it was gonna be epic. Disappointed me really. Especially the fight scenes and moments of bloodlust/love between edward and bella.

Real name: Deeney Dysfunctional.
Favorite book: Twilight Saga. (Can't choose.)
Favorite character: Alice/Bella. (Bella: Books only. Alice: Book/movie.)
Favorite scene: Bedroom scene. [;

They really need to step it up to meet Twilight fan standards. :D.

I was extremely angry (I wanted to go all angry grizzly at the director and screenplay writer) for emphasizing Rosalie and Bella's relationship more than ALICE AND BELLA. D<

Rosalie wasn't all that pretty in the movie. In my opinion, anyway. I saw pictures of her in more natural makeup, and she was gorgeous. Forget the lipstick, Rose. ]: It makes you look thirty.

Alice was one of the best actors and she gets so few scenes.

WHY DID THEY NOT MENTION JASPER'S ABILITY?! D<

Yes, Jasper. Fart at the humans so they'll go away.

THROW MOUNDS OF VAMPIRE DUNG AT THEM SO THEY KNOW WHAT YOU CAN DO. NEW SUPER VAMPIRE ABILITY! >_>

Not.

There was also no mention of Jake's sisters.

Ben doesn't exist, which was kind of weird, and neither does Lauren. D:

I was looking forward to seeing the blood typing scene, but I was extremely disappointed.

The movie was too rushed.

They could have at least tried harder. D:

Fit it all in two hours, yeah, difficult, but don't skip over the important parts, like Edward and Bella getting to know each other.

The waitress wasn't off. Everything was OFF. -Rantrantrant.-

I. Want. More. Alice. D<

And really, it WASN'T that easy to escape Alice and Jasper.

"Oh, look! They're not looking! I'M GONNA RUN AWAY!" Yeah, no. Unbelievable, in a very, very bad way.

There were a lot of shots that made me dizzy; it felt like a home movie. \:

And Kristen speaks way too fast sometimes. I also think she needs to express more emotion when playing Bella. And fall. More. A lot. More.

And for goodness sake, diner? Yeah, let's remind me of Rory at Luke's.

The movie did have some funny parts, though.

"LOOK BELLA, LOOK! IT'S A WORM! HEHEHEHEHE." - Eric.

And Mike shaking his ass in the window.

Edward with his confession of mind reading ("I can read every mind in the room, apart from yours. Sex, money, sex, money, sex... .. cat.")

And let's not forget.

"I like watching you sleep." - Edward.

I couldn't stop laughing when he said that; it took me a while to calm down.

End rant. D:

haha i'm a bit confused, how exactly do you "whip out" a bong? did she keep it in her purse or something? huh.gif

anyways, even though i feel like a complete sell-out teeny bopper loser, i will admit that i am obsessed with the series. the movie was really bad, but i'll agree with others--the imagery was fabulous and oh that's about it. i'm not going to lie though--i've always been a fan of robert pattinson and he is super sexy in this movie (even though he doesn't really "get" the role). and i'll take rpatz dirty, grungy, and smoking any day.

actually, it's money, sex, money, sex, cat. but i laughed at that for a good 5 minutes.

ANYWAY. for some reason i was thinking the other day...they didn't have the whole dazzle thing in the movie, did they? or did i totally miss it?
