i can't stand construction worker people. they piss me off. they can't do shit right and they are always late. i have never had someone come fix anything who didn't get here about an hour late.

i was having hot water heater problems, so two weeks ago this obese man comes and lays in my shower and rolls around attempting to "fix" it. then he tells me that it's against the law for him to fix it because of something to do with children. you can't run straight hot water out of a shower now, it has to be mixed with cold, so kids wont' boil themselves or something. ok, i don't have any f*cking kids in the first place, so i don't appreciate not being able to take a real hot shower because of a law made for kids that i don't have...

he didn't fix it. so later i fixed it myself by just turning the water heater up past the recommended temp, which i should have just done in the first place. everything was good.

then just now this random dude rings my doorbell and tells me that he just fixed my hot water. i was like uhh it was already fixed by me. he tells me he went in my garage and "cranked my hot water heater all the way up". what the hell? why did some random person go into my garage and f*ck with my water heater without even telling me? then the dude is like ok well it'll be hot now and turned around and left. so i guess now it actually is a hazard since he "cranked it up" after i'd already fixed it anyway. now i gotta go and take take the f*cking covers off the water heater and "crank it back down".

aside from this, last week i had to have my garage door replaced. why? not because it's broken, because it had to match every other condo or else some warranty was void. so some bumbling idiots come to do that. they replace it, tell me it's fixed and leave. when i go out there like an hour later to move my car back into my garage, the door will only open about a foot off the ground. so i guess these guys weren't smart enough to try it to see if it even worked. so then this other idiot across the street is like "is it not working?". wtf? if it will only go a foot off the ground does it look like it's working?

aside from this, i'm getting my bedroom window replaced as i type this. why? not because it's broken. because some little piece that doesn't matter is crooked and has to be fixed according to the warranty. this was supposed to start at 10 and take about an hour and half. they got here an hour late and it has been 3 hours now.

oh, and aside from that, my dryer makes my clothes smell burnt which i'm sure is going to turn into another ordeal to fix. it's already been an ordeal to try to get someone to look at it. i've been trying to get service on it for about 3 weeks now. now they are telling me that i have to go online and log into some warranty site which requires a log in and password. supposedly i got this when we closed on the place, but i know they're lying.

yeah that's all. i just don't think i've ever had anyone come fix anything of mine that was even close to being competent.

Wow..thats effing crazy!!
I've had my share of lazy;; slow working
repair men, but you've had the worst!

Just hang in there, hopefully one of these days
there will be a good enough construction worker/carpenter
that'll help you.

keyword: Hopefully.

That sucks. Now your going to get me started on all my rambling.

Like when these construction workers were working on my neighbours house, this guy started hitting on me and my sister and at the time we were about 14 or 15 and that was kinda creepy. I think we was also high on the job by the way he always seemed to wobble up the ladder.

So now thanks to the shitty main worker dude, theres a huge mud pile on our yard that has been there for more than a year and he wont fix it even though its his problem. We would fix it ourselves but it would cost a lot of money and quite frankly we didnt make the mess and now he is pulling all this bullshit like saying "its not on your property" which is a lie because we have the plans. Then he "fixed" it by only doing a quater of it which i guess is techincally our neigbours yard which is even bigger bullshit and all he did was dig it out and put rocks on it.
It just pisses me off how construction workers can be so f*cking careless from the start.

Oh, I hear ya. My apartment complex hired a bunch of idiots to work on all the shit that is falling apart and to repaint the buildings. They leave their shit every where, even overnight on my front porch, and to make matters worse they got WHITE paint on my CHROME BLUE car. So, now I have to talk to some jackass that is over all of the other jack asses on how they are gong to fix it whenever it is convenient enough for him.

We were getting construction work done on our house over the summer and it suddenly rained a lot and everything got flooded. I was scared bc we have two grand Steinway pianos in the living room, but thank god the water didn't get in there.

I think a needs some kiss.gif from xmas.gif and xmas.gif and another xmas.gif .

I don't really have any rants, but man sometimes u have to take a stand.

lol my boyfriend's sister had the bathroom shower somewhat redone - mainly fixed the faucet and change the tiles on the shower wall after taking them out. Apparently the ASIAN (I haven't seen a lot of Asian ones) "construction" guy who was fixing it decided to put different tiles on the walls of the shower. WTF?! He didn't even ask us what it should look like, so now it's this weird flower arrangment that doesn't match with anything else in the shower. The tiles are a creamy peach/pink and the replaced tiles are royal blue in this stupid arrangement that is supposed to resemble a flower. It just looks ghetto. And get this - apparently this was a $3000 job. And if we wanted the guy to replace the tiles, that's another $1000. WTF. JUST FOR THE SHOWER. IDK about you but I don't think the job was worth $3000, nor do I think removing about 40 6x6 mismatching tiles is a $1000 job. The guy didn't even ask us about what we wanted the shower to look like. =_=

Seriously, do all the stupid people just go to be construction workers or repair men because they can hammer a nail into a board?

No, what you should of done was held up the picture bugs holds up sometimes.

*screw* *ball* and see if they can figure that one out.

If i were you i wouldnt pay them full price, you shouldnt have to deal with that or have to pay that much especially if it was just done.

i haven't had to pay anything so far though. it's under warranty so they have to replace it. it's just the fact that i want one that works and i'm constantly having issues is the problem.
