My dad "makes" his own trail mix, that is he buys a bunch of different packs of trail mix type ingredients and mixes them together. My favorite parts are the M&Ms, corn nuts, peanuts and raisins. Least favorite: he put some kind of spicy nuts in it. That's not cool.

Whenever I go to the supermarket there are, like, 10 different trail mixes to choose from. I like kind with M&Ms, dried cherries or cranberries, and nuts. Sunflower seeds always seem out of place in a trailmix to me.

Planters has really a really good trail mix. They also come in individual sizes.

I like buying them as opposed to throwing it together myself. It saves time and sometimes it's less expensive. The only thing I ususally prepare at home that's a mix type thing is Chex Mix. I can't stand the store bought version.

Mmmm... Chex Mix...

And I agree, Dee, sesame seeds are really weird in trail mix, esp. when salted.
