what is there to critique then, i think the purple content area is to ............. Idk, and your should make your site content expandable, it's too obvious that it's a static image and looks like half the effort was put into it

The background would look good if it was black or dark blue. The background color for the content would look good if it was white or light light blue or the same blue that's in the top right of the banner.

Another thing that irks me, you don't have to put the words "Content" or "Navigation" on top of the content and navigation section! It's obvious and if people don't know the content area from the navigation area then they're clearly stupid.

Another thing to fix is, make the content and navigation section the same width as the header plus align the layout more centered. Also the scroll bars on the navigation is annoying. What you should do is make background from the layout. Crop out a small piece of the content and navigation area, use it as a background and set it to repeat-y (Example, background-repeat: repeat-y). Confusing? Yeah I know, it's hard to explain.

Another example! This was what I was talking about!

then you open your css and add it as a background like this:
background-image:url("url here");
background-repeat: repeat-y;}

So it would go smoothly don't put a border at the bottom making it look like a box and make it run off the page. You may know how to do that but just in case I explain it. Scroll bars are just annoying. If you need a live example then look at my layouts

If you don't mind me mentioning something about the header itself. Just because you're going to use it for a layout, where's the site name? Or is it for visitor use? If for visitor use then add Johnny's name on there or his character's name.

Yeah I have too but for some reason it always irk me but it's just my opinion but I've seen layouts that it looked good with it. I guess it's how you do it.

It's annoying to me because I like to see everything at once. It's okay sometimes like using it on myspace. It looks alright on website too sometimes. If you use scroll bars at least use iframes

I guess I could do that but if you look at my website template in IE it is all screwed up. The content area doesn't stay next to the navigation area. So I would have to re-code it anyway.

Your website is pretty nice. I have a few things to point out that could be better. The middle image cuts off her head, and I think that looks kind of odd, you should move it down a bit so you can see more of her face.
The sun rays on the right should be flipped, so that the background doesnt look like it repeats, but so it looks like the rays are sort of fanning out on the sides. (if that makes sense)
Other than that, I like it, its pretty good.

Well, as far as your johnny depp layout goes. Its okay, the edges are blended very well, the images are pixelated and the colors don't go that well together. What program do you use?

did you make the website sugar blossom with jessica stem? well, in that website the white background is really ugly. just keep the border of the header picture white, the change the rest black. the font and blog colors are just weird, whatever.

that johnny depp website has ugly colors. seriously. that blue will kill the reader's eyes. the content and navigation font is basic and doesnt match. i dont like it. it's also very misplaced. in fact, they arent even needed. take it out for good. maybe you can make the borders of the modules more interesting, or actually dont have borders at all.

well im not saying that you should do that because that is jocking and that wouldnt be fair to the person who made it if you just took their whole coding and used it for yourself, i was just wondering because thats what it looks like you were about to do no offence.
