5. Jay-Z
4. Soulja Boy
3. Soulja Boy
2. Soulja Boy

Plies and Maino.

There was a time when 50 Cent actually brought some serious heat to the microphone. '50 Cent is the Future' and 'Power of the Dollar' are two unreleased albums that you should cop. These days, all 50 Cent is to this game is a business man, and a damn good one at that. I care not to listen to his music unless I'm in the mood for it. The Get Rich or Die Tryin' OST was on point from an overall standpoint.

Lil' Wayne, in my opinion, despite having the potential to make better music, and showing signs of light with the skill that he has; represents everything that is wrong with hiphop today. That facade of a gangster image that he tries to portray makes me sick. Hell, white people from the 'burbs like Wayne more than niggas in the hood.

Plies, definitely. I'm normally willing to listen to anything once but he's just intolerable.

Edit: Why is "rapper" in quotation marks? Even if they're bad at it, they're still rappers =\

The funny thing with Plies is he's actually educated and graduated with a degree in nursing, but yet you would never know that by the way he raps.

I remember watching him on 106, and he talked a whole lot different than he raps. I was thinking to myself whats up with that. It all came to light when I found out he had a degree.

yeah this just adds to me hating him. why can't he just act like he really is smart? it's annoying. this is just like that whole thing of him acting like he's so bad ass and a criminal and all this shit, writing songs about jail or some shit and he didn't even have a criminal record until he was like 32 or something. not saying that not having a criminal record means you haven't done the shit but still...we all know he's just tryin to play into a certain role that he doesn't really fit into normally. imo

^ I agree, however, most rappers feel they must portray a certain image in order to sale records. Shame he doesn't enlighten America on what he has accomplished education wise as opposed to street wise.

Many emcees these days have received a formal education. I mean, damn, Kindz in the Hall went to Penn. That's an Ivy League school!

Calm down, killer. I'm sure KC knows a bit more about hiphop than you. Don't take his current Soulja Boy obsession so seriously that it causes you to lose sleep.

Thats pretty crazy. Plies was pretty much the only emcee I heard of with a prestigious degree. I also heard that Lil Wayne was doing something in Houston at one point.

Hahaha, I'm just being sarcastic for the most part. I know he is no where near the lyricist that Jay, Common, or Em is.
