Just, like... completely restores your faith in any and everything.

I mean... BARACK OBAMA! Doesn't sound anything like an American president. But it is. I thought I was going to be in my 50s before a day like this would happen.

Real talk, I was ready to move to Japan for the rest of my life (not because I'm obsessed with Japan, even though I am) due to my growing discontent with the society in which we live. Knowing that it's possible for Barack Obama to be elected makes me want to stick around a little longer.

Ya, all the idiotic un-educated morons got what they wished for.

WOOT! WOOT!

This sort of intolerance that is routinely displayed by American conservatives is exactly why most of America decided to kick the Republicans out of the government -- not just the White House, mind you, but the Senate and House as well. Bush came to the White House in 2000 to be a "uniter, not a divider" and a "compassionate conservative", but all he did was divide the country. Obama's actually offering hope that the country can be united again.

You may think that anyone who disagrees with your opinion is an "uneducated moron", but we've seen tonight that that sort of ignorance and intolerance is not what this country wants anymore.

Is anyone else still seriously in disbelief?
Yeah! I thought it had already hit me. But then I read
QUOTE
Barack Obama to be America's first black president
Americans tonight placed their faith in Barack Obama, who made history by becoming the first African-American to win the US presidency.
and then I sort of freaked out. It hit me then. It's weird to see it...written out like that.

It feels good.

"...the fuck y'all lookin' at?"

Oo, The West Wing. Nice reference. Very nice. +10 for Carrie.

I just hope I'm in theater long enough to see Barack Obama give a speech here in Baghdad. The Secretary of the Navy was recently here after General Petreus' change of command. I'm waiting on my new Commander to give a speech so I can get a picture of him.

Damn this deployment. I need to be in DC. >_<

I'm glad we'll be rid of the arrogance of the Bush administration and the associated Congress. If nothing else, I can't see Obama and the Democratic Congress flaunt the laws of this nation more than Bush and his cronies did.
