how does 666, 999 or y2k relates to the mayans' prediction?
who made these predictions?

it is a known fact that mayans' predictions are accurate by 99%/ 100%. Mayans never predicted any of the 666,999,and y2k. _unsure.gif

they were the one who predicted the 9/11 which came out true. mellow.gif

as for the 'starwars' thing, first of all ... hahahahha

i doubt it's going to work against a gigantic rock when it's designed to hit man-made missiles(and the sizes are not comparable to a big rock). laugh.gif

yeah, they were pretty vague but scientists tried to get a general idea out of it.

Do you know the descriptions for 2012? what's the website for these claims regarding the end of the world?

I hope something does happen when the Mayan calendar comes to an end. I've grown to like destruction and mayhem. biggrin.gif

actually, the mayan's calendar ends at the end of the world, 12/21?/2012.

some mentioned that we're going to have a nuclear war.
if it does happen, America's at this disadvantage during this financial crisis. it's not going to be easy to bring us back up. rolleyes.gif sooooo, how are we going to have money for war?

Maybe we'll break out in another World War. I'm down with that.

well first off, do you believe in the "negative outcome", or the..."new age outcome"? a golden age of sorts.

i always found this circle interesting as well.

^i dont think for myself. i think according to scientist's predictions. _smile.gif

so whether i believe it or not, it doesn't even matter. i am just fascinated by these kind of claims and interpretations made by humanity. our society is really laughable.

Huh?

when the calendar ends, the world will be 'smashed by a rock' or 'nuclear war'.
does that answer the question? LOL? _unsure.gif

Oh so you believe in the asteroid theory? that's the only that makes sense i suppose. its the only one realistic too, well ww3 is realistic, but we have control over that..and of course we get screwed with something we cant control -__-

QUOTE
There are 13 baktuns in one Great Cycle, or "13-baktun cycle", as it is also known, which is a total of 5200 tuns, or around 5,125 years. It started in 3114 BC and ends in 2012.

what i always found funny, unless im wrong. how come most of these prophecies are magically proven correct AFTER the fact. for example, after 911, we go back, look at the calendar, and try match some descriptions to the event, and come to the conclusion: "hey THATS what they meant! look!" -__- makes me skeptical.

Haha, nevermind. Pardon the confusion. I'm tracking.

If the market is this shitty in 2012, I'll gladly welcome a war. That's some serious job security right there.

i wouldn't say i believed it.
I'm simply enjoying every scientist's predictions so it can range from war, global warming, and to rock.
basically, i don't have a mind of my own. I'm absorbing these information for fun.

in conclusion, i just think something will happen to the world, not really the end of the world or we're get killed or smashed

get my drift?

as for ww3, we don't have control over it. every human's civilization is different so our beliefs are not the same as the rest of the world. a lack of understanding of each other will leads to potential problems.

yeah, the descriptions are so symbolic. it's funny how they used "2 birds" as the twin tower and the "2birds" are crashing "down".

symbols can mean anything.

The financial crisis is a worldwide affliction. The U.S. has the largest and most influential economy in the world, which is why foreign banks are peeved with the dilemma originating over here.

And as it stands, America, generally speaking, has a limited understanding of the rest of the world. I'm sure the US will provoke another international conflict in the coming years. History repeats itself. The war in Iraq is coming to an end but even then, one step in the wrong direction will ignite the bullshit all over again. If NK, China, Russia & Iran decided to team up; who knows? By the time they're all on the same page and decide to take action, it could be 2012.

...just sayin'.

interesting!
more details! please!

I'm currently studying economy/gov at my school.

about the war,
in ww2, America grew out of the depression because their homeland was safe. Germany's homeland was not safe because they were constantly under attack during the productions of weapons. did the production puts them in a good economy? No. it was widely damaged and "bleeding".

we dont know if ww3 will pull us out of the depression. war doesn't promise anyone out of depression because Germany had financial issues during the war.

_unsure.gif Yes, that's a very good possibility. American isn't liked by the world right now. their silence will not protect themselves. They are going to act upon their beliefs and anger.
