first time manga coloring., naruto manga cover. Options

So, I've been inspired by many icons of coloring and manga. I wanted to try it out for the first time. If you guys like it, I'll start submitting icons like the ones I'm going to show you. If you guys think I'm not ready enough, then I'll just improve somehow..

The first picture is with Sasori:

I've used at least 6 layers of Selective Coloring.
One layer for Hue & Saturate, and One layer for Brightness & Contrast.
Just added a small text brush, and a dotted borderline near the end.


The second picture is Sasuke:

Okay, before I began tweaking with the settings, the cropping was impossible. I had to fill with a white brush to Sasori because his hideous hand and blonde hair was in the way.
I only used 4 layers of Selective Coloring.
One layer for Hue and Saturation, and one layer for Brightness & Contrast.
I've added to the starting of the Chidori, and setted to Soft Light.
For the action "manga" lines, I've picked a random pattern and erased the parts that covered Sasuke.

The Hue & Saturation were 'Saturation: +45" for both icons.
The Brightness & Contrast was 'Brightness: -8, Contrast:+14" for both icons.

I'd love to hear your comments..
Overall, if I get good replies, then I'll probably submit them. On the other hand, If' constructive criticism is majority, your advice will help me.
