The word "LOVE", overused way too much |

okay i have issues with people over using this word - esp around v-day - i mean love is supposed to be that thing that happens when u think about the person all the times and u get butterflies in ur stomach and stuff - idk tell me how u people feel about it - i am venting i guess cause i think i really love someone even though its not mutual and that hurts but yea i mean i have liked her and her alone for the past year and a half but no feed back - too bad - but some people who meet a party and have a random fling and screw say they are in love - thats bs in my opinion idk i dont think love happens overnight

I think 'love' is word that shows peoples feelings like when youre around that person or you think about him/her you may feel all wierd inside. 'Love' is like something you should say when he/she meets all the qualities you look for in a person...

well theres a lot more meanings to it, and i think just that one word can hold as much as it want. Like, when you're with that person it's all you can think about and etc. you know what i mean?

LIKE is basically you have SOME feelings for him / her . LOVE is all you can think about is him / her and just get this feeling around him / her.
I hate it when people use LOVE when they don't really even like that person. |

"Love" is very overused.
Some people say "Yeah, I love him" and then the next day would start wishing that "he" would die because "he" didn't buy "her" a sandwich. (Okay, not the best example, but an example nonetheless.) "Love" is the greatest feeling in the world.. To me, love is something that doesn't need to be explained by another person but rather the person feeling LOVE itself.. You'll know what I mean when you're to that point because I was like you guys before.. asking "what is LOVE?!".. I think it's best for a person to experience themselves because love can be anything.. BUT!, Now-a-days LOVE is just some word people use without meaning and that's sad.. So don't say you love the person if you don't mean or when you're drunk..
So what about HATE?! (just kidding) |

I say, you can either me in love or just love someone as a friend. Most people think that just because you tell them that you love them, you are automatically in love with them... To fall in love usually takes time... So, don't use it if you're unsure... For me to just love someone (like a friend or family member) means that you really care about them and that you'll always be there for them.... and yeah, it is overused... yet, in my opinion... love sounds a lot better than like or like a lot..

I dunno. I'm in love now and I guess I relate to the song "Alwyas on my mind" by one voice.
The lyrics are: "every second, every minute, every hour, every day its you that I've been thinking of. And every day, every week,e very month, every year With you I wanna be in love 'Cause I can't get enough... Always on my mind... It's so hard. I think about you all the time... I can't eat and I can't sleep. I can't think cause all I think about is you." Every word in that song (many more lyrics from it) is relevant to what I feel about my hubby =P (okay.. no i'm not married yet... gott wait 2 more years *cries*) I mean, the feeling of love is unconditional, or so it is to me. It's not because your significant other is just acting all "CUTE" or "HOT" or something, it's like everything you feel about the one you really care about is really wonderful and that everything they do is wonderful, despite how crazy it might seem. It's not even really about looks or how smart they are, or anything like that that would impress you. It's really about the feelings you ahve when you're around you. I feel really warm and comfy when I'm hugging my hubby and I feel like nothing ever could go wrong as long as I stay with him. Well anyhow okay so yea You maybe just be feeling depressed becuase you love someone who doesn't like you back. If you really care about him/her, try to spend some time with him/her and see is that person cares about you back. If not, then she/he is so not the right person for you. THey should be able to like you without doubts and such, because nothing would hold them back. Of course, love is a very powerful word, and should only be used properly... lol So it could take that person TIME to begin to love you. You just have to wait. But don't wait forever for someone who wouldn't even take a second glance at you. |

Overly used. You should see my friends, when they were going out with people, all they said was "I love you" and they barely knew each other. If that's the case, then wow, they were inlove with a LOT of other people then.

Love is a powerful word.. It could heal or hurt a person.
Yes it could hurt.. It hurts the person who said it if whomever said it didn't love that person back in return was too scared to say I love You back so they break up. Painful. |

I hate it when people say "Oh my God, I love you _____ THANKS!" when you give them something or whatnot. It drives me insane, but lately, I've been using "love" a lot more often than I used to. It's not being thrown around or anything. Although the word "love" has been often overused and worn out, some people don't use it enough. Some often don't tell the people they love that they love them anymore and that's a problem as well. There's just that balance, and I'm trying to find it as well.
