never. i only use them if i'm making a list, i use them like bullet points. i don't know how to use them in sentences :(

Hmm...I hardly use it unless I'm typing out an address or spelling a name. Or sometimes when I wanna cut off someone's dialog when I have to write a story.
 Or when I use -_- Well...I guess I do use it alot...

I use dashes pretty often, but not hyphens. It's an easy way to break up sentences and/or add sentence variety to an essay or whatever. I use them in a similar way as I use semicolons.
