I'd really like to know how people think about this topic.
I'm sure a lot of you remember the good 'ole days before Myspace was so popular. I still remember when the 1 millionth profile was made, and how much of a hype there was about that. I remember when people thought you'd have to pay for myspace, and when nobody but Tom had more then 100,000 friends.

Now almost everyone has a myspace, and it isn't as special as it was before. It's a lot more confusing now, with the new navigation, music player, the way you search for things. Even the categories and such.

I like the old Myspace more, but what do you guys think?

I agree with you the old myspace was way better than the new one.

eh i just think it depends on when you used it. the people who used the old myspace are mostly burnt out on myspace in general now. i don't think it's because the features of the site changed really.

Old one. Around the 10 millionth member is where it started to suck.

I remember the old Myspace. It was better before all the "security" measures that they've added. Private Profiles was a big thing. Remember when you could log in and wouldn't have to worry about a bunch of spam comments?

I remember when you didn't have to worry about anything.
Nobody spammed. Profiles were rarely hacked. It was so friendly.

Do people still get hacked? Nobody on my friends list has gotten hacked in at least a year.

I got hacked a year and a half ago by some script kiddie, and that's the only time.

myspace is for twats

as it is, I have no idea whether I'm "using" (on the rare occasion I have to go on myspace) old or new myspace........

I'd go with old. It was more exclusive then. Now, it's just a source of over-rated trends and post-nuclear twats.

true. with all the weird applications that just about every social network has, just a different name, occasionally the same.

dude, everyone knows that xanga>myspace.

actually, they both suck. i don't understand the craze. i do have a myspace, but i think i have a total of 9? friends and rarely ever get on unless someone randomly comes up to me and says hey i sent you something on myspace and even then it takes me a while to remember to check it and if i do i dont really care about it and so on and so forth and more of this run on sentence and stuff.

Yeah...I never liked the new myspace. In fact, I use the old layout as my home page. shrug.gif You know its time to stick with old fashioned when they start copying facebook.

The original is usually better.
As is the case with myspace.

There are somethings that I like with the new one, but for the most part, I like the old one better.

It seems the same, except for the HUGE advertisement on the front page. It takes forever for my comp. to load that crap.
