I honestly think that my best relationship is with my dog. I mean, she's always been there for me, ever since I was eight years old. Whenever my parents would yell at me, she'd bark at them and nip their ankles.

And she always played hide & seek with me, and always listened to me when I talked to her, and always slept next to me...

:(

I wish I could bring her with me to college :(

One of the most devasting moments in my life was saying goodbye to my cat, Poe. I had her for seven years. At that time, she had been the most reliable, constant presence in my life.

I still get a little choked up thinking about her.

:(

My mom keeps making these horrible jokes about Beauty (my dog) dying soon. I know that she will, since shelties hardly live over 12 years, but it just makes me sad that I'm not able to spend all my time with her during her last years because I'm in college and all that. Sometimes my mom really... ugh.

my old cat, when i was much younger use to walk me to my bus stop and wait with me and my sister until the bus came and then after we got on he would just walk back home. He did this everytime my mom was sick or something. Also apparently from her when me and my sister were babies and if we cried and if she didnt hear us he would run into my parents room and try everything to wake my mom up and i guess he would tap her face with his paw. Also he never bit, if we were petting him the wrong way or something he would just lay his mouth on our hands or just pat them to tell us to stop. I really miss that cat ;A;

^Aww, that is soooo cute.

Aw Melissa, don't think about it in that way. Just spend as much time with her as you can. (I love how one of my dogs just came into my room right now to take her nap lol) This makes me think about my first dog that died. sad.gif But all I can say is just spend all the time you can with her. Especially if you two are that close. And try not to let you mom get to you. Just ignore her this time.

I hope you feel better. console.gif

I once had an animal like that. I got him when I was 5. When I was 14, he got stolen. I had two bestfriends but it just wasn't the same.

when i was very little, i had this lab that took me for walks on its back. it was like my horsey. now that i think about it, that was not a very nice thing to do... but it let me do it anyways cause she was a nice doggy.

around the same time, my cousins had 2 dogs. one was a big, mean dog that loathed me (it bit me really hard. i have a scar to prove it) and a tiny miniature poodle. whenever the big dog would threateningly approach me, the little poodle would come to my rescue and bark at him and then he wouldn't bother me anymore.

now i have a puppy that doesn't really do any neat tricks, but i love her anyways! if we're play fighting and she bites too hard, i'll say "OW!" and she'll instantly give me kisses to make me feel better :)

i feel that way, too, which is why i'm glad i didn't dorm. and i started spoiling my dog like crazy. he's 11+ years old. we used to not let him into our bedrooms when he was younger because he'd be too playful and make huge messes, but nowadays he always sleeps with me, my bf, or my sister ;o

I got a dog myself.
Sometimes she sleeps with me, though she mostly sleeps with my mom.
There are lots of days when all she wants to do is be with me.
She'd scratch my leg when I'm sitting at my desk, and once I put her in my lap, she goes to sleep.
She listens to me.

If I were to meet a guy who doesn't like my dog, he is out out out!
What about you?
