Yes, the American remake of the famous Korean drama, starring Elisa Cuthbert and Jesse Bradford.
![]() QUOTE Charlie (Jesse Bradford), a shy and idealistic college student has never been in love. When he rescues the beautiful and elusive Jordan (Elisha Cuthbert) from falling to her death, his life is changed forever. Jordan engages Charlie in an unusual and eccentric courtship. How many tests will Charlie endure to win the heart of this complicated young woman? Source: Official WebsiteI just finished watching the movie a couple minutes ago... it obviously does not live up to the Korean original, but I really shouldn't compare the two. So with the original aside, Yann Samuell did a good job. The cinematography was beautiful, the dialogue was hilarious, and the casting of Jesse Bradford as Charlie was perfect. I would have liked to have seen Elisa Cuthbert even more dramatic and emotional, but she did a great job as well. And I really like how they gave Charlie a friend. =] Oh yeah, and I cried really hard throughout the movie, which gives it a + in my book. SOOO yeah, go watch it and TELL ME WHAT YOU THOUGHT! |

Oh yeah, and I cried really hard throughout the movie, which gives it a + in my book. Are you sure it's not because you were thinking of the Korean original all along? Haha. I already expressed my disdain for this version in the K-popJ-pop club not long ago. I would be cringing too much throughout the remake to enjoy it. :\ |

Haha, I did think about the Korean version a lot while watching the movie, but I assure you that I would have cried watching the American one either way.
And yes, I do have to admit that the Korean one is MUCH BETTER (with wayyyy better casting too)... but the American one is really good too! Both versions have their own parts that were more enjoyable than the other (ie. the American one made some bits of the movie more believable). I strongly suggest that you watch this version, Cristy. You may end up hating it, but wouldn't that just give you more evidence that Koreans do everything better? =P |

I thought it was really cute and the fact that it stayed true to the original korean one. I teared up in the end however didn't cry.
I was uncomfortable with the acting though, I didn't care for the actors like I did in the korean one, it just felt awkward that they were spitting out lines similar to the old one. It was okay I guess. |

it just felt awkward that they were spitting out lines similar to the old one. Yeah, it was a bit awkward... maybe because it's just not 'American' at all to say the things they said. I mean, it just seemed so normal and natural in the Korean one when the girl threw around threats and insults. |
