If it was a gift then of course i'd accept it. That's downright rude if you reject a gift just because it's fake.

I agree, I would just rather not have it.
However, a gift? I would hope no one would buy a fake for me but if they did, I would not reject it. That would only hurt their feelings. |

I wouldn't use something that is obviously branded fake.
But there are some not-so-obvious ripoffs that are harder to spot. ![]() |

You can definitely tell that your bag is a kock off. I would never wear anything fake, because people who know me, always give cash since I am super picky!

it really doesn't matter to me. its the thought that counts. if it looks nice, i'll use it. my mom got me a fake coach purse [which was hilarious when she showed it to me] and i still use it. i rarely use it because i'm not really into purses like that, but i like it.

i'd take the gift whether it was fake or not.
not many people can come across these things so why not? if you don't like it, give it to those people |

It's rude to not accept the gift.
Personally, I wouldn't use/wear the fake unless it's not really noticeable like those fake Coach purses...I wouldn't use that. |

In the end, it's just the label. Many people who buy name brand bags tend to only do so for the label. If you really cared about staying with trends and the fashion, the bag wouldn't last more than a couple of seasons. True, the quality tends to be a little better but durability can be found in a lot of cheap brands.
I bought a fake Chloe Paddington bag from the Ladies' Market in Hong Kong and I love it. It was 20 dollars and the "leather" is very soft. It's not the best quality but I wanted the look, not the label. I would be happy if a friend got me a knockoff bag. All that matters is that it looks good. I would feel too guilty knowing if they spent hundreds on a real one. If I want the label, I'll get it myself when I have the funds to do so. |

it'd be really awkward if the person who gave it tried to pass it off as the real thing though...
nonetheless, supposing it were all meant in jest, I wouldn't reject it. There's no real reason to turn down someone's intentions and in the end it really just depends on personal preference. I'll use it if I like it. Simple. On the other hand if it's just plain ugly I wouldn't use it even if it were real. |

Had I the choice of buying my own, I'd definitely purchase the real deal. There are ways of telling whether or not it's a fake or not. |

That's so rude to reject it...Almost everything I have is a knockoff. I just bought knockoff Chuck's this afternoon, actually. It's cheaper, and if someone thinks they're only good enough for the real thing, they need a reality check.

I'd accept it, but... I'd feel bad about wearing it. Not to mention the fact that it might be supporting child labor (it's not just a rumor, is it?)

Jordans? DEF NO.
COACH BAG? nooo. there's girls in my school who's mothers give them fake coach bags and the girls swear there real because their "momma" gave it to em. my friend from ny gave me a knock off Gucci, and a LV scarf and it matched my outfit plus it looked real so i kept it. |

Stolen =/= fake. Just immoral. But there's no guarantee that your "stolen" bag is actually real.

I'd obviously accept the gift but I probably wouldn't end up using it. =p But like someone said, if the gift-giver tried to pass it off as real well thats different.
