As "twisted" as it was, he brings up a good point. Why hasn't he shared his plan with the Pres/Congress?
I saw that interview. It was AMAZING. That article doesn't even mention the women's exchange with McCain over abortion, which was my favorite part. 'Cos, you know, McCain's for a strict adherence to what the founding fathers wrote, so Whoopi was like, "Do I have to worry about becoming a slave?" and Barbara was like, "Us white folk will take care of you." rofl1.gif
How often do you watch it? What do you watch on it? And, btw, CNN's also been accused of being conservative at various points in time.

I simply said he turned an issue that seemed like nothing into something. That's good journalism, which is probably why he works for MSNBC.

I watch it daily. I usually flip back in forth between the three networks every morning. Sometimes in the evening but I usually don't get the chance. Really? That's interesting I never knew that. Who accused them of that?

What is it with all of these ignorant ideals in this thread?

I'm sure you are all good and proud about your dedication to your ideals, and about your fight for justice and freedom. Once you're all done blabbing your nonsense force-fed media-station garbage, open a book or two and actually read about the nonsense you're spouting.

None of this is real. This political discussion is just a facade for your needs to be involved with something important. You all just desperately want to care and align yourself with something so that you can feel like a powerful member of the masses. I am not a leftist. I am also not a righty. I am not an up or down or side to side. I refuse to align myself with any of your ridiculous black-and-white friend-or-foe social acceptance bullshit. I suggest that the few people on cB who have actually studied a thing or two about whatever they care about do not post their beliefs on the forum, because the reputable pre-teen critics here will distort whatever you say into oblivion. That way, maybe we can isolate the problem and ignore it altogether.

Grow up, cB. I am rarely disappointed in something like a forum, but I really am here. I know I'm not alone.

I feel your frustration at times. I was reading through this forum last night wondering how many of these people are even of age to vote and how many are just regurgitating what they've been told by their parents and peers without actually looking into the matters themselves. It's hard to tell. I do think, however, there are a few genuine people on here that do care about what's going on with this upcoming election. They're just hard to find amongst all of the cliques cB has always generated. A lot of times I argue the opposite not necessarily because I am in different opinion, but to see if there is any substance to their statements. That's usually how I can tell the difference between someone who is simply spouting and someone is genuinely putting thought into their words.

I'm curious... What are you registered as?

I guess I had it coming for me by bringing it here.
My apologies, Queen cB.

And smoke: I think that there are educated people here too. I just think they're wasting themselves posting it here.

Do you have a suggestion for another forum that talks real politics? If so, PM me. I'd be interested. It's just that cB is the only forum I've ever cared to be a member of, so it's the only place I know to discuss such topics, granted the lackluster responses.

i like to discuss it here, i don't see what the harm in that is or how it's a waste. i expect people who don't have a clue to come reply to my topics, but i also like to hear what people here i respect have to say...since there are at least a handful who do know what they are talking about.

i thought that was pretty dramatic of you though.

Perhaps that's why we don't put the much effort into having intelligent discussion here, eh?

But still there's no reason not to discuss politics here. It's better than a lot of the other mindless drivel, and this is mostly for fun.

So, I've been seeing alot of Palin '08 stuff and it sort of bugs me. She isn't running for President. She is McCain's running mate as VP. So why are people voting for McCain bacause of her. Sure, she is a woman and it would be cool to have one in office, but having that be the only reason you vote for a certain party is just ridiculous.People don't seem to care what McCain or Obama choose to do for the country..

Anyone else have an opinion on this? Or an I just being silly?

The hype around her will dissipate once the election gets really heated up. Voting is less than 2 months away, people will stop obsessing over her(hopefully). I do agree that the hype is baffling. There was a show on tv about her life last night. I'm like "What about McCain & Obama?"

She's a heated topic because if McCain gets elected as President, she has a high chance of replacing him... as least higher than Biden replacing Obama.

Dude, it's the only thing McCain has going for him; why do you suppose she was chosen as VP in the first place? You have to feel like a real f**king loser, being completely unmentioned in the larger media outlets - your opponent, your VP, and even your opponent's former opponent still get more air time than you.

This should be merged with the existing thread on Sarah Palin: http://www.createblog.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=209143

On CNN? They've aired their biographies on McCain and Obama a couple of weeks ago.

I feel that compared to the dynamics between Obama and Biden, the relationship between McCain and Palin is missing.
They look like two people doing different things while being committed to one ticket together.

Sure, their main goal is to get to the White House, but it just doesn't look like they're really working together.

Traditionally, the VP and the Prez. nominees don't campaign together all that much. Palin and McCain have spent a considerable amount of time together because his campaigners know that she brings out the crowds.

QUOTE
Former Bush adviser Karl Rove said Sunday that Sen. John McCain had gone "one step too far" in some of his recent ads attacking Sen. Barack Obama.

Rove has leveled similar criticism against Obama.

"McCain has gone in some of his ads -- similarly gone one step too far," he told Fox News, "and sort of attributing to Obama things that are, you know, beyond the '100 percent truth' test."

The Obama campaign immediately leaped on the quote.

"In case anyone was still wondering whether John McCain is running the sleaziest, most dishonest campaign in history, today Karl Rove -- the man who held the previous record -- said McCain's ads have gone too far," said campaign spokesman Tommy Vietor, in a statement sent to reporters minutes after Rove's on-air comments. Rove masterminded both of President Bush's successful White House bids.

Rove said both candidates need to "be careful" about their attacks on each other.

When John McCain appointed Sarah Palin, govenor of Alaska, to be his VP, I thought it was possible the worst idea ever. She just seems so creepy and gives off this horrible aura. Not only that, but her politics are so f**ked up. She's an ultra-conservative and pro-lilfer in every single case (even rape!!), she was in favor of this bridge to nowhere in Alaska (the bridge cost millions of dollars in building materials alone, not counting labor and insurance. Money Alaska didn't have), and she said that we have a very strong chance of going to war with Georgia in an interview.

All in all, the bitch is horrible. And since McCain is such a relic, sh'ed have a MAJOR chance of actually becoming the president. And if she became the president, irreparable damage would be done to this country. We deperately need Barack Obama to save us from Bush and the crazy republicans!
