They're both shit. Obama doesn't know the difference between income tax and capital gains tax, he calls children a punishment, claims there are 57 states and chose a VP candidate who plagiarizes speeches and makes racist comments about Indians. And McCain doesn't know the difference between Sunni and Shia, thinks that $5 million qualifies you as being above middle class (even if he was joking, that was highly inappropriate), doesn't know how many houses he has, voted against the MLK holiday, and chose a VP who doesn't know what a VP does, and laughs when people talk shit about her rivals.Just completing your statement that they're both shit. But while we're pointing fingers, it's awesome how since the liberals don't have dirt on Palin, they go after her daughter. Not true. What about the ethics hearing Palin faces on the firing of her public safety commissioner? What about her support of the Bridge to Nowhere? And what about her claiming to be against pork-barrel spending but using earmarks to get $27 million for Wasila, a town of not even 7000 people?Edit: There's a lot of shit they can call on her, it's all just a matter of time. She's only been in the national spotlight for 4 days. |

QUOTE They're both shit Glad you agree. QUOTE Not true. Not true? You linked to the dirt yourself! You even acknowledged it as gossippy. Sure, all of this other stuff is coming to light now, but what happened to reserving judgment UNTIL you find something valid to criticize her for? Like I said, I am not voting for the McCain-Palin ticket, so please don't ask me to defend them since I don't like them either. But to those supporting Obama, why are you so quick to say "BUT MCCAIN/PALIN DID THIS OR THAT!!!!" Why can't you defend your candidate? Are you hoping that by shifting the attention to the other candidate, people will forget their criticisms of Obama? |

Oh well a blatant outright appeal to Hillary's vote base . However it sure has backfired and the republicans are losing the fight to define her .

They're both shit Be that as it may, I was challenging your statement that that's the only thing they're attacking her on. Which it isn't. I know I posted a link to the dirt, but the article doesn't exactly "attack" Palin's daughter, more than it speaks to the suspicious nature of Palin's son's conception and subsequent birth, and therefore Palin's judgment. Bristol's current pregnancy obviously proves that she can't be her brother's mother, but if the rest of the facts are accurate, it's a very interesting and telling story. Not true? You linked to the dirt yourself! You even acknowledged it as gossippy. Who are you voting for, btw? I'm curious. |

lol I love how the automatic defense is "MCCAIN DID THIS OR THAT" I already said I don't like McCain either. You don't need to convince me on that one. What you need to do is convince me why Obama isn't a turd bag. So instead of compensating for your shitty candidate of choice with ad hominem attacks, how about trying to defend Umm you havnt given me anything to defend. If you supported mccain I could say why he's worse. But you're not saying anything. Im not supporting obama becuase he's the best candidate ever, its because he's the better candidate. You're not saying who I should vote for, only who I shouldn't. No he's not perfect but he's better than john mccain. The reason I said those things about mccain is because there are only two candidates. if you think both suck then choose the one that sucks less. Get it ? Two choices. 1 or the other. 2. Only 2. John mccain or barrack obama. I if it were up to me id put someone else in the office but I can't. |

Instead of defending, you insist on attacking John McCain. What are you saying here? "Oh, Barack Obama sucks, but at least he doesn't suck as much as John McCain!" Getting punched in the face beats getting shot in the head, but would you be happy with getting punched in the face? Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. No, we don't have only two choices. It's idiots like you that keep us stuck in a two party system. Vote your f**king conscience. But if you decide on someone to vote for, you better know WHY you're voting for that person, not why you're not voting for the others. Just curious, with your infinite wisdom, if you were given the power to put anyone of your choice in office, who would put in office? You seem to know about all the candidates so I was wondering who is your top choice if you were the only voter. Back on topic, Palin has a speech tonight I believe. I'm sure the people here have already decided they're going to hate it. I'll probably read a transcript because I really hate her voice. |

You can't defend obama when you have nothing to defend this is what you're doing. ill give you an example because right now we are not debating or arguing we are just sharing opinions. Ex. You : obama sucks because he has no experience. Me : he has enough experience. Fin. When it should be You: mccain has more expierence, he's better. Me: yeah well blah blah blah. Your not giving me an argument your telling me to defend obama with no criteria what so ever. Ok then. 1. He has nice hair 2. He has white teeth 3. He's black we do only have two choices. America has made the presidential elections into a two party dictatorship or whatever you want to call it. Its almost impossible for others to get ballot access and raise enough money to run outside of the two parties. The only way is to use your own money (ross perot). If you seriosuly believe this can change with the few minority votes your being naive. You're telling me you would rather have mccain in office than vote for obama ? I don't see this as lesser of two evils. If obama is an "evil" than mccain is the devil himself. Btw jesse ventura for president. Oh yeah, I can't vote yet. |

lol. You can't defend obama when you have nothing to defend this is what you're doing. ill give you an example because right now we are not debating or arguing we are just sharing opinions. You're either blind or stupid. Don't ignore my points and claim that I've made none. Let's start one by one, since I'm afraid your head will explode if I post a laundry list. #Obama's capital gains/income tax problem. This comes from Obama's speech where he accepted the nomination (you know, the one where people were too busy crying to actually dissect what he was saying). He claimed he was going to help small business owners by lowering capital gains tax. He also has said he would raise their income tax, but we are reassured that the decrease in income tax will counter the income tax raise because capital gains tax is a big part of income tax, right? Wrong. The problem is, capital gains rate for the tax bracket that most small businesses operate in are already 0%. You can't go lower than 0%. Well, you can, but you'd have to start writing checks, but why write checks if you're going to raise the income tax? Why not forget the tax raise in the first place? Either Obama doesn't understand taxes, or he's intentionally trying to mislead the tax paying public. OK, genius. Answer this one. QUOTE Ex. You : obama sucks because he has no experience. Me : he has enough experience. Fin. No, you fool. You disprove the absence of something by proving the presence of said thing. Obama has less executive experience than Sarah Palin. Now, tell me how this is an opinion. Wait, don't tell me you don't know what an opinion is! QUOTE Your not giving me an argument your telling me to defend obama with no criteria what so ever. No, you're bitching because I'm not giving you a candidate to attack. See the beginning of my thread. QUOTE we do only have two choices. America has made the presidential elections into a two party dictatorship or whatever you want to call it. Awesome, you have no idea what you're talking about. Have you ever voted before? Do you even know what a ballot looks like? Or are you just some kid who's not even eligible to vote spouting off talking points from liberal blogs? This so-called two party system is a de facto system, not de jure. Get out of the mindset that there are only two valid choices, and the two party system ceases to exist. QUOTE Its almost impossible for others to get ballot access and raise enough money to run outside of the two parties. The only way is to use your own money (ross perot). WRONG! There's public financing. Obama actually said he would use the public financing when it was convenient for him to say so, but once the money started rolling in, he took back his promise. QUOTE If you seriosuly believe this can change with the few minority votes your being naive. Spoken like a 14 year old who adopts strong political opinions to try to get people to think he's not politically apathetic, but doesn't do any thinking to back it up. QUOTE You're telling me you would rather have mccain in office than vote for obama ? I don't see this as lesser of two evils. If obama is an "evil" than mccain is the devil himself. Yes, I would rather have McCain than Obama, just like how I would rather be punched in the face than shot in the head. But I wouldn't vote for McCain, just like how I wouldn't ask to get punched in the face. QUOTE Btw jesse ventura for president. So let me get this straight, you said there are only two parties, but you support someone who himself WON an election as a third party candidate? Yep, you don't know what you're talking about QUOTE Oh yeah, I can't vote yet. Well, that explains everything! Thank God, we need less idiots voting. |

he calls children a punishment What he said was he wouldn't want one of his girls to be punished with a child. You could right away interpret that to mean he would make them get an abortion, but it could also mean that he wouldn't want them to have unprotected sex and get pregnant in the first place, which is what I think he meant. He has said before that he would like to lower the amount of abortions in America without making it illegal. claims there are 57 states Again, what he said exactly was "I've been to fifty... seven states". That could mean "I've been to 57 states" or he could've just been correcting himself in the middle and saying "I've been to 50... 7 states". and chose a VP candidate who plagiarizes speeches How often has that happened? Once? 20 years ago? |

*fewer. We need fewer idiots voting. I need less sleep / I need fewer sleep. Nope. No grammar problems with that statement. As if that invalidates my points even if it was. QUOTE And your definition of idiocy is pretty idiosyncratic, I've come to notice. And your definition of idiocy is shallow and pedantic. Yes, shallow AND pedantic! Well, thanks for providing absolutely nothing of value to this conversation. What he said was he wouldn't want one of his girls to be punished with a child. You could right away interpret that to mean he would make them get an abortion, but it could also mean that he wouldn't want them to have unprotected sex and get pregnant in the first place, which is what I think he meant. The purpose was to question the justification that abortions are OK because they destroy the fetus BEFORE it becomes human life. When asked when does human life begins, Obama couldn't answered it and dodged. QUOTE Again, what he said exactly was "I've been to fifty... seven states". That could mean "I've been to 57 states" or he could've just been correcting himself in the middle and saying "I've been to 50... 7 states". No, he acknowledged he made a mistake because he said he was tired. And if he said he's been to 7 states, he'd be wrong too. Way to pull justifications out of your ass. QUOTE How often has that happened? Once? 20 years ago? I f**ked your mom once, 20 years ago. You aren't still holding it against me are you? |

When asked when does human life begins, Obama couldn't answered it and dodged. http://youtube.com/watch?v=GbZJYWjkAPo Listen to the context, he's talking about contraception. No, he acknowledged he made a mistake because he said he was tired. And if he said he's been to 7 states, he'd be wrong too. Way to pull justifications out of your ass. Whatever, so he was tired and accidentally said he'd been to 7 states. He still didn't say he thought for a minute there were 57 states. I f**ked your mom once, 20 years ago. You aren't still holding it against me are you? Yeah, I'm sure the guy who said the quote felt like his mom had been f**ked when he found out Biden forgot to credit him once. |

Sorry to bring this back up. But she's not in support of the bridge to nowhere -- as she stated, "I told congress, thanks but no thanks to that bridge to nowhere, I told them if Alaskans wanted a bridge, we would build it ourselves" (night she was recognized as McCain's running-mate). No, she was in support of the Bridge to Nowhere until the bill was already dead in the US Congress. And then she still kept the money for Alaska's public transportation fund. [Source]

Either Obama doesn't understand taxes, or he's intentionally trying to mislead the tax paying public. Small Businesses are not affected (directly) by capital gains tax. Short Term capital gains tax is taxed as regular income). Long Term Capital Gains tax does not affect most of the 100 million people invested in stocks beacuse most are in 401k's which are protected. and actually obama has stated he will raise not lower capital gain taxes. Im not sure what youre reffering to but the only videos i found on youube say hes raising them. Given mccains and obamas tax cuts mccain will only cut taxes slightly for the middle class 38-66k. by slightly i mean 300 bucks. 1000 from obama. upper class 66-112k (median is 45k in america iirc) 1000 for mccain 1300 for obama. 112-161k mccain has 2600 obama 2200. If you make over 3 mil then obama increases taxes by 700k while mccain lowers them by 270k. for anyone who wishes to know and is in realitiy. OK, genius. Answer this one. No, you fool. You disprove the absence of something by proving the presence of said thing. Obama has less executive experience than Sarah Palin. so does mccain but when did they become relevant ? Now, tell me how this is an opinion. no that was just an example of how far we are getting. notice ex. Wait, don't tell me you don't know what an opinion is! fat man made a funni! No, you're bitching because I'm not giving you a candidate to attack. See the beginning of my thread. No youre bitching because you have nothing to say. you were wrong about him lowering capital gains taxes, i will ignore the 57 states, joe biden isnt running for president. Awesome, you have no idea what you're talking about. Have you ever voted before? Do you even know what a ballot looks like? Or are you just some kid who's not even eligible to vote spouting off talking points from liberal blogs? Thats not the point. The point is either a republican or a democrat is going to be elected. I am making this practical. If i am a middle class man with children I only consider obama and mccain because one of them will win period. obviously you think voting for your candidate is more important than getting by. you are the kid who is out of touch with real americans de·fend Audio Help /dɪˈfɛnd/ Pronunciation Key - Show Spelled Pronunciation[di-fend] Pronunciation Key - Show IPA Pronunciation –verb (used with object) 1. to ward off attack from; guard against assault or injury (usually fol. by from or against): The sentry defended the gate against sudden attack. 2. to maintain by argument, evidence, etc.; uphold: She defended her claim successfully. 3. to contest (a legal charge, claim, etc.). 4. Law. to serve as attorney for (a defendant): He has defended some of the most notorious criminals. 5. to support (an argument, theory, etc.) in the face of criticism; prove the validity of (a dissertation, thesis, or the like) by answering arguments and questions put by a committee of specialists. 6. to attempt to retain (a championship title, position, etc.), as in a competition against a challenger. . This so-called two party system is a de facto system, not de jure. Get out of the mindset that there are only two valid choices, and the two party system ceases to exist. It is for most americans. Unless you are very rich you will be affected by who is chosen. ask any working mother if they give a f**k about ideals when they can get a tax break. WRONG! There's public financing. Obama actually said he would use the public financing when it was convenient for him to say so, but once the money started rolling in, he took back his promise. Public Financing limits the amount of money you can spend and the money you can use out of your pocket. The government matches the amount made in which this case, is small. Jesse Ventura raised $300,000 to run for governer. Oh yeah you have to raise money to get money from public financing. public financing only matches each dollar with a lot of restrictions as to how much you can recieve from a single person, party, etc. If a non billionaire independent were to get public fainancing that amount would still be tiny compared to what obama, clinton and mccain have raised. Ross perot used 65 million of his own money had a huge following and was at one point leading the polls. then he ends up with 0 electoral votes and 3rd in the popular vote. (although his drop out-back in may have caused a big effect) Spoken like a 14 year old who adopts strong political opinions to try to get people to think he's not politically apathetic, but doesn't do any thinking to back it up. please bitch dont make this personal. You havnt said anything. your just bitching about the system. you cant beat the system nor will it change in the near future. If your dumb enough (or rich enough) to ignore the two people who will affect our (my) lives what the f**k do i care ? Yes, I would rather have McCain than Obama, just like how I would rather be punched in the face than shot in the head. But I wouldn't vote for McCain, just like how I wouldn't ask to get punched in the face. yeah well sometimes its easier to get punched in the face than to eat [b] So let me get this straight, you said there are only two parties, but you support someone who himself WON an election as a third party candidate? [b]Yes at the state level. Jesse ventura raised $300,000 and became governer. thats a very small amount. Thats why I said if i could choose anyone. I dont think the two party system is that great. so what i either a. bitch about it on forums. b. vote for someone who will be better than worse. c. vote for someone who wont sniff the wite house ever. Yep, you don't know what you're talking about Well, that explains everything! Thank God, we need less idiots voting. btw who are you voting for ? write in for : jesus. LOL |

McCain is damaged, coming from attacking a "hockey mom", "nice person", and a pregnant 17-year old daughter will forever damage the Democratic party as it is expected they lack the backbone to do anything but apologize.
EDIT Or it can give them the "spotlight" over Obama for the meantime |

^^Acting like I know what I'm talking about..
Sara Palin's selection as John McCain's VP running mate is intended to end badly within the next two to three weeks as part of a devious Republican strategy. |

Its been said that 12% of Hilary supporters are going to Vote for McCain now. I don't understand those people. WTF is going through their minds? McCain is damaged, coming from attacking a "hockey mom", "nice person", and a pregnant 17-year old daughter will forever damage the Democratic party as it is expected they lack the backbone to do anything but apologize. EDIT Or it can give them the "spotlight" over Obama for the meantime Where you asleep when you wrote this? It makes no sense. |
