Psh yea, if I owned a strip club I wouldn't hire fat ass chicks. I mean no offense so those of you who disagree.

Now if we're talking about other types of clubs, then sure whatever. I mean its a preference type thing and I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

Whatever, Britain. Their food is horrible (health-wise) in the first place, they have no right to be picky.

Damn, ain't that a bitch. I'm glad I'M stick thin. Anyway, the whole club thing is messed up. But shouldn't they let overweight people in if they're there to drink and not just to dance? I mean, it'll earn them more $$ because they're more likely to consume more drinks.

arent there like clubs though already for like bigger people? I might be wrong, but I always thought there was like how there are gay clubs and straight clubs and how there a lane bryant and a victoria secret? if there is, then Americas messed up .

But this didn't take place at an American club, it took place at a British club. And anyway, the question is if clubs should discriminate by weight.

Fat people take up more space, meaning less space for regular people. Fat people sweat and bring up the room temperature, straining the air conditioning system, which in turn increases the power bill and leads to more pollution.

Wow. For some reason that makes a lot of sense to me.

on one hand, the owner has the right to refuse entry to anyone he wishes. on the other, if we allow people to get turned away for being the wrong size, we might as well let clubs turn away people for being the wrong ethnicity, sex, height, or for just being plain ugly, which is more than half the people who go to clubs.

Club owners can turn away anybody they want to, so long as it's not based on race, disability, or sex, so legally, it's not a problem.

Personally, I don't care. If they decide to turn away fat people, it's their decision. It's less money for them and those people will probably just end up going somewhere else.

^ Agree

I think it's wrong, then again it's the people's choice whether to let them in or not.
Fat people take up most of the space in the dance floor.
That means less customers more fat. lol

Why do people insist on saying that banning fat people means less money for the club?

Would you rather go to a club that has a reputation for having fat people, or a club that has a reputation of having fit people?

Maybe instead of spending the money clubbing, fat people should spend their money at the gym, or get liposuction.

Being overweight should be treated like being a alcoholic or a drug user.

Because I'm sure that alcoholics are refused entry by night club owners. laugh.gif

I agree with not hiring overweight people to perform/strip/whatever at clubs because that doesn't make for good business in that field. However, refusing to let people buy drinks and hang out because of their weight seems pretty ridiculous. Unfortunately, if it's a private club, I think they can do whatever they please unless it's discrimination that falls under certain legally recognized categories.

These ladies will probably give that particular club a lot of bad press though, which isn't good for the owners (in my opinion, at least).

Do you really think that's going to happen? That's as insulting as denying them entry.
