Cs3 is definitely the way to go. It's the newest version so it'll have a lot that PS7 doesn't.

My Trial period for CS3 just ended.
It kinda depends on your graphic style Stock Photos/Backgrounds: Corel PSP X [Photo] Avatars/Banners: Photoshop/Illustrator CS2 |

Get cs3, everyone usually starts out with 6 or 7 but cs3 has so many more options and its so much easier if you plan on making your own drawings or vectors in it that just aren't in version 7.

Extended gave me a shitload of viruses. You must have went somewhere and downloaded the wrong torrent for it then to get viruses from it. o_O and if you bought it and got them, then that's something you need to bring up with adobe, which they'll probably laugh at you because you probably went somewhere bad online and got those. |

Why would you even think about getting a lower version. The latest is usually always the best. CS3 all the way. Its more updated.
&"Extended gave me a shitload of viruses." that's probably just cause you downloaded something that had viruses. Not that all extended files have viruses, just the one you got. So, if you were to download anything, you might as well get the latest one[: |

Cs3 kicks 7's ass, though I used both for awhile.

CS3, I feel like it's a lot lighter but I'm not sure if it is or not.
