^ I was just watching that! Great game.

I prefer Women's Volleyball over Men's, though. The men seriously creep me out, and I haven't the slightest idea why...and the rallies in Women's are longer and a lot more interesting.

Whoo!!
Congrats to the U.S. Men's Basketball Team.
Pretty easy win.

The Spanish did good in the first quarter.
But they lost steam.

Easy win? That was one of the best games I seen in a while. USA had to play HARD to win that game. That was no easy task. That game was close throughout the entire time. Juan Carlos Navarro was owning up USA. And Rudy posterized Dwight Howard with a facial.

Ah, that's true. A waste of time. But you have to admit, wouldn't you rather watch a bunch of women slap each other's asses as opoosed to some hairy men?

Who watched the Closing Ceremony?

You know what I'm tired of? Seeing Phelps EVERYWHERE on NBC. Yeah, what he's doing is historic, but let other sports and people shine too. They are over hyping him imo. That's no disrespect to him. Look at USA Women's Basketball. They were going for their 4th GOLD medal in a row! How Amazing is that? Same with Women's Softball. They didn't even get a lick of coverage about it. Phelps this, phelps that. Even after USA Men's Basketball just won the Gold, they still had to discuss Phelps. Jeez.

I agree with everything except for the Softball thing. I mean, if the cancellation of Softball/Baseball for London 2012 is any indication, no one really gives a crap. Phelps is a f**king legend, but I do agree that it's a bit excessive. There are a ton of other amazing wins that get overshadowed.

Although, I find NBC still does a better job than the Canadian coverage of the Olympics (apart from NBC's obvious bias towards China). I woke up this morning at 5 am to watch the Closing Ceremony, and CBC constantly went to commercial when there were performances going on. Or, they'd start interviewing people that they had interviewed already when they won their freakin' medals. They interviewed this girl who won a Bronze medal in hurdles and it was a complete and utter fluke, making her out to be a national hero, same with van Koeverden who won Silver.

I sometimes wonder what the CBC would do if they had won Gold medals - shit their pants? Create temples in their honour and pray to them? The funny thing is that I've never once seen them interview the Vietnamese woman who represented Canada and won in Wrestling. It could be because I missed out on them, but apart from that I hardly hear them so much as a mention of her. It's disappointing that the coverage is so bad in a multicultural country like Canada.

Did any of you see Phelps's SI cover? The 8 gold medals around his neck make it look like he's wearing a halter top, and that's weirding me out a bit.

And holy shit, could there BE any uglier outifts for Canada to wear to the Closing Ceremony?!

WTF IS WITH THOSE PANTS? f**k the Bay.

NBC's coverage has been horrible. I always have to look online to find out when certain events are going to be covered. Sometimes I would get on the internet and be like wtf they already ran the 100 meters. And I'm also tired of hering Phelps, how about doing more coverage on the USA basketball game, which was one of the best games of the ages.

This is for you NBC

Kobe is that dude.

lol I love how NBC always has "LIVE" on the top right corner of the screen. All of the events I watched on NBC were recorded already so I'd just check the results online
