Well, for starters, absolutely nothing is going to happen to Thomas or Dee because they used their judgement, however unpopular their decisions may have been. They didn't break rules.
As far as Nate goes, for one thing, Nate himself as well as two of our Admins are currently on reduced activity, and therefore discussion has slowed somewhat. Furthermore, we lack the benefit of precedent on this, so we're working from scratch. This hasn't been forgotten about, but setting meaningless deadlines isn't going to speed up (nor will it slow down) any decisions being made. What is more, understand that this isn't the only thing under discussion after the whole incident, let alone overall, so some leeway at a time when not everyone is here to give input every 15 minutes would be appreciated and appropriate. |

Looks like you mods weren't able to figure things out by the end of Saturday, so I guess I'll try to help you guys out a little bit.
Nate, Thomas, and Dee all need to be demoted one level down. That means Nate off staff, Thomas back to Design Staff, and Dee to Head Staff. The reason for this is because they're not fit for their current positions. Easy Mode: Nate. It's been about a week, and you guys still can't figure out what to do with him. Sad. Talking trash Backstage and member bashing. Intermediate Mode: Thomas. LEGENDARY Mode: Dee. Ok, which game do you mods want to play first? Choose one at a time, or else this thread could get confusing real fast. We'll take it one at a time, yeah? |

Yeah. Dee and Thomas aren't going to be punished, and if you'd read my post in your OTHER thread about this same issue, then you would know that Nate is still being discussed.
Your input is welcome, that being the purpose of this forum, but there is precisely zero need for a brand new thread, and I'm merging this into your original Deadline thread. Feel free to edit the title of that if you so wish. |

Yeah. There was no need for a new thread on what is essenitally the same issue. It was either merge them, or close the other. I figured this was less likely to provoke melodrama.
*edit* I consider you delivering on what you promised in your original thread to be appropriate for being followed up in that same thread. And yeah, easy decisions like moving things get made and acted on more quickly than more complex ones which require consultation. That's not exacltly a shocker, is it? |

No, the purpose of the deadline thread was to let you mods know about your deadline. The purpose of the other thread was to actually talk about Nate, Thomas, and Dee. C'mon, is it really going to hurt you that bad to keep two threads apart?

Well, that's similar enough to my mind to merit being merged. If you want real discussion on the issue, then it will happen here as much as it would anywhere else.
Although frankly, it could perfectly easily have been done in Mod Performance. |

Give what a chance? The thread? Or the topic? I don't understand what exactly I'm supposed to have quashed here, but whatever.
I've given my position on Thomas and Dee, and they aren't going to be demoted. If we bumped a mod down a level everytime someone disagreed with something they did, however legitimate the concern may have been, we'd never keep a staff member more than a week, and even that would be a stretch. |

Well, the two are getting the exact same treatment, i.e. nothing is going to happen to them, so we might as well clear the easy parts out of the way. Four posts ago you accused the staff of being slow at the important things, so I would have assumed you'd appreciate the expedience, and the issue being addressed promptly and concisely?

The discussion is the same for Thomas and Dee, so why faff around having it twice? Don't you think that's the kind of repetition that slows down quick, incisive decison making? Actually, all that I seem to have lost is my chance to have you be the first to respond to my post, given that you aren't actually the only person with an opinion on the matter who might choose to respond to me.
Stop hatin' on me man! If I were that kind of guy, I'd be posting some kindof photo with 'U MAD?' written on it about now. Lol. My position is fairly simple, and also pretty much what the rest of staff is going to tell you, so I really don't need you to allocate me more time to go first, lol. But yeah, whatever.
