I like to go to Restoration Hardware/William Sonoma/Crate & Barrel with my daddy to spend some quality father-daughter bonding time. I actually have a lot of fun talking about color schemes and tableware and furniture and pots and pans and whatnot. _smile.gif

where do yall go to spend some good ole quality family time?

:( hug.gif

since I'm not spamming I'd just like to say that I also didn't see my parents for a couple of weeks this summer. TOTALLY COOL cause a break from my mom is never too long but totally depressing cause I got a lotta love for my dad.

My dad and I used to listen to Elvis together and he'd teach me a few things on the piano and guitar. That was really the only thing we had in common, but to this day I can't hear an Elvis song without hearing him singing it in the back of my head.

My mom and I just sit and bitch-talk.

My sisters and I get high and hang out. I love them and their friends and they love my friends, it's like a big happy family.

I spend more time with my mom than I do with my dad... we usually 'bond' over dinner (if I don't rush off afterwards anyway) and while shopping! With my dad... it's kind of awkward.

Car drives to places with both.

With my dad it's when we play ping pong or when we pick out movies or look at cameras.

With my mom it's shopping and eating and normally after dinner we talk about other people -shifty eyes-

my mom says "Our family has no greater hobby than gossiping about other people." Sadly...it's true.

Since my dad got remarried to a women that has 3 children at the ages of 7,8,and 9. I think the place that we go most to spend family bonding is at parks. We'll take the baseball, gloves, and a bat and play a game. Or we'll take a soccer ball and play a game of soccer.
Sometimes we'll even go to this huge park and play tag.

Also we have season passes to Kings Dominion, so we like to take the time to go there as well.

The dinner table, but I usually just sit and eat and listen.

Usually with my dad is when he asks me to make him something on the computer for his job or when he gives me tips on what I should be doing to further my dream ambition. Not in a naggy, "You should be doing this!" but in helpful comments.

I'm fairly close to my mom. We talk about everything and I tell her my fears and hopes and the things that make me happy.

And with my brother, well, he's the one who introduced me to How I Met Your Mother, so when we're not watching TV together and relating everything back to HIMYM, we're usually helping eachother when we play the same video game or else we're fighting. But he's in college so I hardly get to see him.

And I'm starting this year but I'm living at home for two more years.

Bonding with my mom happens every time we're together, which is all the time. We're so close. She's honestly one of my best friends. I tell her everything. We can be doing anything & we'll bond. That's what I love about my relationship with her.

My dad & I on the other hand don't bond as much. I dk why. He sees me as his little girl & all but I dk. We were closer when I was little but then grew apart, I guess. I have nothing against him. It's just that most of the time he's serious & needs to loosen up a bit. My mom & I are always laughing & it's rare to see my dad laugh. "/ But I really want to work on that.
