Hypothetically (and randomly) speaking, you're about to cross the street of a very average but fast paced street. (You would reach the sidewalk with a walking distance of 6 feet.) One of your friends are ahead of you, reading, texting on their sidekick, on the phone, whatever it may be and does not seem to see the car that is zooming towards their direction. Are you more comfortable running up and pushing them out of the way? Knowing that if you aren't quick enough, you could get caught in there yourself? Running up and pulling them back, knowing that if you don't pull them quick enough, one of their arms could be ripped off? Or would you just stand there in shock or like the jerk you are? Let's say they were in the middle of the street, an equal distance from both sides (for those of you who like to say "which ever side they're closer to.)

Just a random thought I had while I was waiting for the light to change and watching a group of jay walkers. whistling.gif
