Popfest turned out to be less of a big deal than I expected, which is a bit sad. I went to my first show of it tonight and saw My Teenage Stride, who were pretty good. Introducing my concert-deprived friends to new bands is now my new favorite activity. I've got them recognizing that what I can show them is better than everything they've found on the radio. I feel so accomplished :)

hahah thanks

Ok, after My Teenage Stride I caught
Thee American Revolution, Pipes You See Pipes You Don't, Andy from Denver, Casper & the Cookies, Circulatory System, and Elf Power. I wish I'd seen more, but considering none of the people I went with actually knew any of the bands (aside from the songs that made the Athens mixtape I put together for one of them), I could have done worse.

Also, I caught the Modern Skirts again Friday. I think that even though I knew the band a whole lot better this time around, I preferred them the first time because there were fewer people there, there were places to sit during the exceptionally long set changes, and I wasn't wearing heels. I also hadn't been up for 22 hours after getting 3.5 hours of sleep that night.

OMG, it was amazing. I'm speechless, almost literally, my voice is shot from yelling.
