You're missing my point. I'd have had the exact same opinion if I weren't a mod.
Did I not just confirm that I understood that?

QUOTE(paperplane @ Aug 9 2008, 10:38 PM) *
And it seems an awful lot like people who had no problem with before are objecting to me now only because I am one. \
a) people thought you were going to be a good mod, but found out otherwise
b) they didn't care about you
c) they lied

QUOTE(paperplane @ Aug 9 2008, 10:38 PM) *
I have not warned you. I have not deleted any topics. It's sheerly my opinion you find objectionable; the fact that I am a mod should be inconsequential.
I don't mind if you weren't the one who warned me or not. You have the powers to lower my warning level, and I want it lowered, please.

One is Black, and one is not really Black.

JC is the Black one. KC isn't really Black.

Mods only: Do you admit that you were wrong?
Not exactly sure what I'm wrong about, your warning level? No. That cb world language day spread cultural awareness? No. The feedback topic was a waste of everyone's time? No. Point me in the right direction, Arjuna.
Did you just say that you thought that I should have been warned and that cB World Language Day did not spread cultural awareness? Sorry I didn't really get that part either.

Mods only: Were you one of the few mods who saw the value in cB World Language Day?
Didn't participate in CBWLD. Sorry.

Whether you participate or not you SHOULD know the value by detecting activeness. Do not contradict yourself along the other question(s) you answered.

The answer to the question is showing me that nothing ever happens even if you did implied or didnt. mellow.gif

How can I see the value in something if I didn't participate in it, meaning I wasn't active during it, just in the beginning and end of it?
Steven wasn't exactly the most involved participant of cB World Language Day, yet he did a good job of seeing the value in it. It's not impossible.

Oh, and I guess Rebs did too, otherwise she would've rejected it like you guys did. And she wasn't even around that much.

Exactly? You don't have to participate it or .. wait till the end of it.

When there's a parade and you're not interested, you know "something" is happening. You should know or feel the effect and causes of these influences. You should know some streets will be shut down. Some store might close down. Most importantly, when something happens, you AUTOMATICALLY DETECT IT(generally). Think of New Year Parade.

Yeah, it's nice to have a community life when there's an exciting event coming up ... and people would just lighten up and enjoy it. after all, it's once in a lifetime experience.

Word, we'll be better prepared next year, like how China prepared for the Olympics.

Survey Questions for the Everybody, but Mostly the Mods:
- Do you admit that activity was higher during cB World Language Day than most recent days?
I think it was more or less. I think that the actual inclusion of it, with the start of the Olympics, was sort of cool.

- Was your activity risen during cB World Language Day? (If you posted a lot in this thread, you will be lying if you say no.)

- Mods only: Do you admit that you were wrong?
No lol!

- Mods only: Do you admit that you blew the foreign language problem out of proportion?
No lol!

- Mods only: Do you apologize for wasting my time?
Definitely not!

- Mods only: Were you one of the few mods who saw the value in cB World Language Day?
Yes I was, and I actually enjoyed it. Sorry if I couldn't participate more though.

- How are the mod/member relations right now?
I think that as of this writing, they can be improved.

- How can we improve mod/member relations?
I thinkt that we have to just try to agree to disagree on certain issues. Also I think that both sides need to try to be a bit more open minded on certain issues. Just like the members think that there are certain mods that are full of themselves, I know of a few members that aren't particularly all peachy either.

- Mods only: When can we see some changes in who is in the staff team?
I am not sure about that one.

- Mods only: Looking at your activity, you contributions, and how well you communicate with the community, do you honestly think you should still be on the staff team?
Yes I do. I feel as though I have a lot more to give to the site. Although some of my ideas, and actions may have been wrong, my heart is always in the right place...and that is trying to make things more enjoyable for staff and members alike.

- In your personal opinion, which mod got owned the most in this thread?

- Did you answer the above questions honestly and truthfully?
As I always would!
