Written a while ago....i KNOW it's pretty corny but bare with me. It was written after a breakup.


I fell in love with Love
On a breezy summer night
Love held my hand and promised me
That everything would be alright
Love isn’t perfect but he is true
You would know if you fell in love with Love too
Love got scared with yelling and tears
Love ran away, he didn’t want to be here
Love promised to stay forever and ever
But Love ran away and now it will be never
I thought I would never see Love ever again
No smiles, no hello’s, not even as friends
Love is no fairytale although it’s enchanted
That’s what I found out when I took Love for granted
Now I truly know how it feels to have a hole in my heart
A hole that expanded as we both grew apart
A couple days have seemed like millions of years
And to think just days ago Love was still standing here
In my arms, laughing and smiling in seemingly eternal bliss
Like nothing could ever break us apart in our kiss
But as much as it hurts I know we can’t be
Love is too good to have someone like me
I just can’t give Love the love he should get
I just have to accept the pain in bitter regret
Regret that I could have done better and made it work
If I did, then maybe today Love would still lurk
But I know that Love could be happier gone
I hold my head down in shame saying I should move on
That’s something I can’t do with this heartache in my chest
Because to me, Love is and always will be the best
I miss my Love, please do come home
Love ran away…
