How soon is too soon?, your love dies, how long should you wait.

I've recently lost the most important person in my life. Edit:He was killed in a car accident about a month ago. We were together for almost a year and a half [two days shy]. We talked about getting married. We'd looked at rings and had one picked out, all he needed was money. We were perfect.

How long would you say is not long enough to wait to find someone else?

In my opinion it really depends on how long you were with the person and just how well you got along. Really it's a personal decision, I'm just curious how long people would wait.

I don't think I could ever find anybody else. It just wouldn't be the same.

glad you find it humorous.

-ice cream is your friend
-stay at home watch a couple of scary movies ( not romantic)
-when your ready go out with your friends
-think about the negatives about him

you can't really set the amount of time in how long you wait to move on. some people can bounce right back and in less than a month be in a new relationship while others take a few months, even a year to try to start seeing other people. i, for example, have been in a situation where i was with someone for over 2 years and we broke up and within 2 months i was in a different relationship (the one i'm in now). it turned out better than i had ever hoped, but that doesn't mean i didn't care about my ex. then again i was also in a situation where i was in a relationship for just 6 months and it took me a while to get over it. it all really depends on you, the situation you're in, and how/why things ended.

& like aimee said "ice cream is your friend" in this kind of situation! good luck with everything & keep your head up, things happen for a reason. happy.gif

I agree, it's up to the person and when you find someone else. Was just curious on others' opinions.

paying for him to drive to cali because he had to be there by a certain date or he'd be considered AWL in my opinion does count.
espacially when i'm only 17 and 400 dollars is a hell of alot to have to pay.
and i've bought him plenty.

because he needed help and it was better than him asking his father who is about to lose his house. it's called love. he was going to pay me back anyways.

he did have a job. he was in the navy. he had just finished shcool and that's why he was on his way to cali. he had just gotten his first post. that's why i said we were waiting until he straightened out his bills to do anything.

if you dont know the situation don't comment on it.
