mix mochiko with water. then mold into balls with your hands.
that's how i make boba.

&you can add any liquid to it, like make up something.
we usually boil water with brown sugar &other sweet stuff.
then ice it with the boba[x

The liquid is basically anything you want. My mom used to make it using coffee plus cream and sugar.

I think that's because a lot of the posts are technically spam. As much as I love how the club has revived (really, thanks to everyone who's posting), leave each other profile comments or IM instead of clogging the club with posts not pertaining to bubble tea. Thanks. :)

Do you guys buy your own bubble tea or do your parents buy it for you?

I buy my own, but my mom will randomly buy some for me and my brother every couple of weeks.

Does anyone know how to make bubble tea?

I'm 90% sure I've made a post on this before, but I guess I'll retype my instructions (>_<):

You can find bubbles (/black pearls) at any Asian grocery store near you, and they're really cheap. One package should be around $1. To prepare the bubbles, pour a cupful into a pot of boiling water, and wait a few minutes for them to get soft. There should be more specific instructions on the package. As for making milk tea, add milk and sugar to the tea (I use Lipton teabags). Refrigerate the tea till it's cold, then pour some into a big cup, and add the bubbles you made beforehand.

That's just how to make the most basic kind of bubble tea. You can add bubbles to coffee, taro milk tea, anything really.

Quickly's suck. There tapioca balls suck hardcore. They use really cheap balls. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who loves Tea.

Places I would recommend is Tapioca Express, Q-Cup.

Sometimes Quickly's bubbles are really good, and sometimes they aren't cooked very well. But the tea part is always pretty good, which is why I still go there.

I think the Ten Ren near me raised the price of their regular cup, from $2.50 to $3, so I don't go there anymore. So actually, I go to Quickly more than I go to Ten Ren, because saving $1 makes a difference! ._.;

Not always, just for the past six or seven years. XD My mom doesn't shop at Ranch99 very much, and there are a lot of Asian stores in the Cupertino Village, and it's pretty far from the street, so I never see it when we're driving by.
